Amazon.com has a program that you pay something like a "membership fee" and it includes free shipping on virtually everything. My wife buys a lot of stuff from amazon.com so we save more than that in shipping costs. When I ordered the clips there was a $4.72 shipping charge with a $4.72 credit. They were rep'd through amazon but were from the same place as the link in the earlier place. Same price. Just no shipping

It's called Amazon Prime. I think it's $30, but then free 2 day shipping. Worth it if you buy much from them.

+1 on the GG Bailey clips. A fellow Cobra owner gave me one and I installed it on the drivers side. Been great so far. The passenger mat on my SPF seems to stay in place fine.

I bolted mine down through the floor with wingnuts on the bottom. Nothing is seen from the inside since the rear of the Mat is somewhat under the front of the seat. The snaps sound like a good idea.

I ended up doing something very close to what RedBarchetta suggested on page 1. I first bought the BB Bailey Mat-Locs. At least for me, they are hard to install on a Superformance. After I got one installed on the driver's side, I started thinking that they might not stay secure over time. In my studied effort to avoid contact with side pipes (burned once, now forever cautious), I put a lot of weight on the mats getting in and out. The anchor mechanism is a small diameter pin stuck through a layer of glued on carpet. So, I went to Lowe's, bought a grommet kit and some 11 inch black cable ties (both cheap). I installed two grommets on the back side of each floor mat adjacent to the metal members that anchor the front part of the seats to the frame. I strapped a cable tie through each grommet, looped the tie around the seat anchor mechanism, tightened the ties, and clipped the surplus tie material. The grommets and ties are not readily visible. The mats are now solidly anchored and will never slide forward again. If I ever want to remove them, it's a simple matter of clipping the cable ties and reattaching with some of the extra ties that I have kept. Again, great thread. Thank you for all the excellent ideas and suggestions. Larry Carlson

For the Corvette and Grand Cherokee, I have used the rubber floor mats and cargo liner from WeatherTech

http://www.weathertech.com/

While priced on the higher side, quality and appearance is excellent. Not the same appearance as carpet, but an alternative.

If rubber mats are used in place of carpet mats, the sides on some of WeatherTech mats can be trimmed, score lines, to fit. Reply from their Customer Services Dept suggested the following as an approx fit for the Cobra, but clarified on the need to be verified for each unique application. There are provisions for hold down tabs, i.e., use of factory retention devices

Model W3, Universal Rear, LHS mold 1000 and RHS mold 1001

Model W47, Designed for 2003-2007 Cadillac CTS, LHS mold 1000 and RHS mold 1081
