Default DIY Bonded Studs

One of the BEST publications out there is "Kitplanes". There articles relate to so much info for the kit car builders, I have always used it as a source. In their August publication, they did an article on bonding studs. In many cases it is not desireable to drill holes, an example would be a fuel tank. In the article, they recomend using a product E6000 adhesive from Eclectric Products. eclectricproducts.com The next product is the stud which comes in various sizes and in stainless. The studs have holes pre-drilled all around them, which lets the adhesive through, giving a really strong bond. These units look ideal for attaching adel clips for wires and fuel lines where you don't want to use a self tapping screw, which I have never favored myself. I have used neither, but Kitplanes is a good source of information a lot of builders over look. Studs---mcmaster.com/#perforated-base-studs/=nh. If this website doesn't work try http://tinyurl.com/be696px Hope this is useful to someone out there.

I have used E6000 for years, it is one of the few products that will stick to glass. It is available at almost any hobby store....Michaels, Hobby Lobby....most often it is right on the "impusle buy" racks located by the checkout stands.

The tinyurl worked for me, the link to McMasters just showed their index. Great product, I had no idea it even existed. Thanks so much for the info!!!

Cheers!

Dugly
