SPF Prices
Does anyone know off the top of their head what a new SPF kit costs with the basic run of the mill options? I'm doing a little cost comparison, and unfortunately I can't find any figures on the web.
Thanks,
Brent

I have the Superformance brochure.I got it 2 weeks ago and the fastory built Cobra replica without engine & transmission is $36,900.All else is included.I would call them up because they send you a video also.I'm in the same boat as you, still looking. You might wanna go witha smaller motor so your car will be closer to a 50/50 ratio and it'll handle much better.Good luck.Let me know what you've decided on.We can swap notes.

thanks,
Chris

I went up to Ross Ohio last October and took one for a ride....About a month later, my apartment flooded, and all my literature died with it. I still have the tape though... : )
I just couldn't remember how expensive they were. Coming up with $37k would be a slight problem....even with financing, the payments would probably be over $700/month. Ouch.
I guess that underlines how good of a deal you're actually getting with a Unique kit. If you paid $23k for the Unique, and spent $3000 on wheels/tires, and $4000 on paint, you'd still be paying considerably less than a Superformance.
I've seen the quality of a Superformance. They're outstanding machines. Unfortunately money's an issue. : (
Cudos to all of those driving an SPF. I'm just not in the ERA/SPF bracket myself. Looks like I'll be driving to Alabama for a look-see.
Thanks for all your help guys. You guys are awesome as always.

If you're interested in used, Ross Ohio has an older SPF for sale.
It is the "roadster" so no rollbar, sidepipes or stripe. It is red with
a base 351/320hp. It is the "300 series"so it won't be as nice or have as many of the upgrades they have made over the years, but the asking price is $34k which I think for any SPF is a bargain.
It has 8k miles. Ask for Dean.

I did not see the roadster there last week when checking out my car. Also, I believe that Dean told me that the owner was going to keep the car. Still might not hurt to call though.

If working on a budget, let me suggest a used SPF. If you don't destroy it, you will be able to sell it for about what you paid. Get the highest quality car you can afford (not the shiniest or fastest), it will be that much more fun to own.

HOC !!
I’ve got a ton of help buying my SPF from House of Cobras in Southern CA… I know you are in KY but I know they can help an might be able to put you in a SPF within your budget like they did for me.
You can checkout their current stock, mostly SLP’s at http://www.houseofcobras.com/inventory.htm
Good luck !!

SPF Prices
I just looked at purchasing a new SPF at Snakepit Auto here in N.Y. The price I was given for a new SPF with moderate options and the top of the line SB Ford (351W/430 hp, I believe a 393 stroker) for around $60k to get out the door with a complete running car. One of the reasons I went for a used one.

60K seems high if the roller is 36,900. Especially if you are putting a 351 in. I would have thought around 50-53k.

This is a little off subject ,but it is relevent to SPF. What does the term "second strike" refer to concerning SPF , is it a second generation version , and if so, what were the changes ?
Thanks,
Conway

I think it's their newsletter.

second strike is a newsletter for spf owners. however, they also have a net website that you can browse. this is done privately by a spf owner for owners and for those interested , see following site :
