Hi, to all, been away for a while, I need some info, my dax cobra build has been on the backburner due to the wrong motor mounts being put on by dax initially, hopefully I'll have the chassiss/eng/box back next week.I have recently rebuilt my toploader rug av, but am now looking at the possibility of fitting a 31 spline shaft to handle the torque, what do others think? I have been shopping on ebay and got a few items from the states, some parts are like rocking horse poo over here, I have a flywheel(184 th) off a 390(I think!), there are no id marks on it, what is the best way of checking which clutch to go for?I am also trying to source some tight fitting headers without having to pay silly money, anyone got any suggestions? any info appreciated. Headers will only fit if they were made expressly for your engine/chassis combo, especially if you want to run sidepipes. As for the clutch and flywheel issue, I would get a new flywheel, a billit aluminum one from McLeod.
