Cam Crazy
aRE THERE ANY CAM CRAZIES WHO MAGHT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY CAM, FOR IDLE AND PERFORMANCE.
iT'S A COMP CAMS 275DEH P/N 35-418-3 IT'S IN A 351W WITH CLEAVLAND HEADS, SINGLE PLANE MANIFOLD 10:7 COMPRESSION, 750CFM CARB, ROLLER ROCKERS, WITH THE FOLLOWING CAM SPECS. 219 INT DUR 233 EXH DURATION 110 DEG LOBE SEP LIFT IS .512 INTAKE AND 548 EXHAUST |
depends on if the cam is advanced, retarded, or straight up. But with those numbers, the motor outta come on strong at 1800 or so and start dropping power by 5500. But there are so many variables in an engine, this is only an approximation.
Clevelend heads on a windsor, didn't know you could do that. |

Yes' it involves re-routing the water jackets to flow thru the intake mainfold, not too difficult. I got bigger valves that way, but with todays aluminum heads I would think twice about doing it again. But I did get 2.10 intake and 1.71 exhaust that way.
