OLAF HERRICK A richmond 5 or 6 spd will bolt up to your motor with a lakewood bellhousing. The 6-spd is nice for highway cruising. What gearing do you have?? T56 as a hp and tork rating of 475 in both. As long as you are not using slicks and 5000 rpm holeshots this trans will last a long time. Are you going to autocross or roadrace, you may want the 5 spd with a 3.08 rear. It is what most of the top racers are using. A wide ratio 5 spd with a 500 hp motor will give you the best of both worlds. The 5spd has straight cut gears depending on the trans you buy. This makes it stronger, but adds a little wine to it. T56 comes in the Viper with a V10. Go to the Viper web for any trns problems. I am a GM tech. We have 3 kids racing their Firebirds and breaking 2 gear clusters from power shifting. They are not using slicks on their cars. I brought a G-FORCE 5spd the ratings are 1200hp. I am hard on the drive train and wanted the strongest parts I could get. Hope this helps. Rick Lake
