pull this seatpad outta my a$$
Crap,guys...
The shocks on my cobra are just bone-jarring stiff!! My back hurts, my b*lls are flattened out, my wife is none to happy and I need some advice!!!!
I run coilovers adjustable both ways and the ride is to rocky for the street.
What are you runnin' to give a comfortable ride but still maintain a grip on things when you get jiggy with it?What can I expect to dish out for 4 new units? Let us know what you run on your cobra
Thanks...

You may want to look into a set of shocks with adjustable bump/rebound.

Fella,
My guess is your springs are just to high. We normally run 350lbs up front and 200 to 225 on the rears. (Small block configuation)
DV...fun...not pain!

800$ to 1000$ for new units. I just talked to the parts guy at Dynamic Motorsports in Ross Ohio. A SPF dealer. They are making better shocks for the SPFs fully adjustable, and much better ride for the street and track. He said they were less harsh when you hit potholes and random bumps on the street...I think the brand name was QA1s. I dont know if they would fit a Contemporary but it is worth asking.

This may be a stupid question but no one has asked it yet... What size wheels & tires are you running? Low profile tires tend to run a little hard!

My Excal shocks are like 90/10's I think, I hate them!
The "bound" is real soft, the axle will bottom out on a hard bump quite easily. The "rebound" takes much longer for the car to come back to normal ride height.
What ratio would be better? 50/50? Street and track use.

Thanks for the replies and advice. I am looking into a custom made airbag system that will allow me a comfortable ride and when I pull into Burger King I can drop it into the weeds and turn up the boom box ......
Ha!!
I am still considering the advice you guys gave me and encourage all to put in their 2 cents worth.
Thanks
