It may seem stupid to ask but how tall 27 or 28" is a 275 60 15 goodrich?

The O.D. is 27.5 inches according to the specs I've seen.

My BFG Charts says:
Rim width range - 7.0 - 11.00
Overall diameter - 28.0
Tread width - 8.9
Section width on measuring rim width** - 11" on 8" rim
** Section width varies approximately 0.2" for every 0.5"
change in rim width

(275 mm wide x 60% aspect ratio) x 2 = 12.99" + 15" for rim = 28"

My calculations:
275 X .6 = 165 millimeters is side wall height (aspect ratio is the relationship between the tread width and the side wall height)
Multiply millimeters by .039 to get inches : .039 X 165 = 6.435 inches. Multiply by 2 to get both side wall heights (top and bottom of tire): 6.435 X 2 = 12.87
Add this to the 15" wheel diameter: 15 + 12.87 = 27.87 inches

they actually measure 27.125
inflated and mounted on steel rims...they are for sale (new) under for sale items

The rolling circumference is 84.5 inches on my SPF with 20 PSI air pressure.
