Unhappy Cleaveland heads

Anybody know if I can re-use my cleaveland four-tube headers
if I switch to a 351 windsor?

Will redrilling the attach bolt holes do it ?

Or are the Winsor exhaust ports located in a different place?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

The windsor and cleveland heads have identical port spacing. But the port shape and exhaust flange (head) angle is different, so the collector will not be located in the same location. Your signature says you're running a cleavor--a W block with C heads. Again, due the difference in deck height, the collector will not be in the same location when you finish.

Cleveland heads ports are oval/round shaped and larger than the square smaller Windsor type heads

Why would anyone switch from a Cleveland to a Windsor?

Default Why switch?

I'm switching engines from the cleavor (windsor/cleavland)
to a straight windsor, and I wanted to use the existing exhaust
assy.

I want to use a new windsor stroker block (SVO) with some
aluminum heads.

The old engine is going into my sons 1969 Mercury cyclone

But....

if I cant get the existing headers to work I'll just have to buy new ones.

JG

Tell your son he is out of luck and keep the Cleveland. Save the windsor for when you need a good boat anchor

Them's fightin' words, Steve !!!

An SVO stroker windsor with alum heads should give all but the most expensive FE a run for it's money.....
