Default Advice on carb fittings

I have this Fuel Log:

I need to move it 1" to 2 1/4" away from the carb because the turkey pan hits the top of the horizontal part of the log. I need a 7/8 -20 male to a 7/8 -20 female adapter. I have been to the performance shop and the plumbing store but they both say that there is no such part.

HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!

Or should I suck it up and get an new fuel log?

Thanks
Ed

Longer stand-offs would be the answer. Not sure how many different sizes they make, the one thing that you would have to watch is that they don't hit the valve covers. Another option would be to use the push on fittings with the blue aeroquip hose. I've used both the solid stand-offs and the blue hose.

I would assume this is an 8 AN setup....

Just go buy (2) 8 AN union (male to male) fittings to go between the carb inlet adapters and the junction block. Jegs and Summit both have them....and you can get Endura fittings to match the current finish. Should be about $15-$16 for what you need.

It looks like that is a one piece deal so I see your problem . I run a turkey pan and made the -8an supplied fuel line into a custom -8 an fuel log . You will be better off using the -6 an and make a custom log ! My first engine had the -6an , worked well , and easy to install .
Came out of 2ndarys with a carb fitting to a male hose addapter ,10" of hose, then male tee , female to female coupling with carb addaptor to primary .
One of these days I will learn to post pics . At least I ditched the apple .

Just bend a custom one with some stainless hardline, a flaring tool, a few tube nuts, and a T-fitting.
