Driveshaft yoke removal from T5 tranny

Good afternoon.

There is a small tranny fluid leak coming from the tail shaft where the driveshaft yoke goes into. I suspect it is the seal inside the tranny tail shaft. I would also inspect the yoke for burrs, and similar deformation while at it. My question is, do I have to remove the entire driveshaft from the car or is it possible and easier just to remove the yoke end of the driveshaft and leave the main body connected to the read end?
If possible to remove just the yoke end, will reassembly be as simple? just reinsert, line up, and tighten? Then refill tranny with fluid.

The drive shaft will all come out as a single unit.

It isn't feasible to remove the tranny yoke without removing the drive shaft along with it. The tranny yoke is permanently attached to the drive shaft via the front U-joint. You would need to press off the U-joint caps to remove the yoke from the drive shaft. The rear U-joint is connected to the differential yoke via two U-bolts. All you do is remove the two rear U-bolts, dislodge the rear U-joint from the differential yoke and slide the drive shaft to the rear until the tranny yoke is free of the tranny. Then you can get at the tailshaft seal and inspect the tranny yoke for wear. Much easier that way.
