this may be somewhat off topic but, I am able to get to everything it seems save for the hurricane motorsport site. even if it is linked on a thread. Is this just me...unfortunately?

thanks

Brobehr,

No, I don't think it is just you. I have seen others that have had trouble accessing certain sites and threads and then they go back later and can get in. I had a thread that only showed 4 pages and the last page was 5. I couldn't get it to even show Page 5 let alone let me on it and a little later I went back and it worked just fine. So far it seems I am experiencing more different problems than anyone else or I am just doing more complaining. But they are intermittent and it is hard to try and get any kind of pattern. I hardly ever have any problem early in the morning like now. It is later when the heavy usage starts that I begin to have problems. And what really messes with my mind was I never had any problems and the site worked faster than ever for me until after the Nav. Bar was added. Since then it has been one thing after another.

Edit To Add: I did go to the Blog section and it worked perfectly for me before I started having all the problems. Now I try to post an answer and I get the Page not available screen, but when I go back to the Club cobra Forum Page, the answer to the Blog is in.

Ron

I'm trying to get into the rear coilover thread on the Contemporary forum, and I get this:

It's the only problem I've had so far, other than that the site is humming along nicely for me. I'm using Firefox and XP if it matters. All other threas I have tried seem to work fine, it's just this one.

There does seem to be a floating type of problem in CC. Ron (CW) called me this morning and used my computer through the Remote option and it worked ok until the site crashed. But mine normally works ok in the mornings. He went through everything in mine and found nothing at all wrong with it. I am hoping when he has time, we can do this again when I am hitting the weird problems.

Jon,

This is the first day since I started having trouble that I haven't had any. It is a little slower than it was at fist, but no hang ups or blank pages today, even during the heavy traffic period. I have switched back and forth between my computers and they both work very well now. I think that Brent removed something last night to see if it would help. But before I get to excited I will wait another day to see if everything continues to work for me.

Everything worked well for me all day yesterday after Brent removed that Accelerator he posted about. When the heavy traffic hit, which was when I was having all of my weird and various problems everything worked all day, just at about the speed of the old server but that was good for me. Today will be the acid test for me. If I have no more problems with posts and changing between Forums, then I am going to say that accelerator was causing my problems someway. Thanks to Ron (CW) for coming in on the remote hook up and checking out my computer for me. I felt like a person who knows how to fry potatoes watching a gourmet chief while he was doing it.

Ron - I know what you mean I worked for a software company years ago and I learned to just move over and let the pros do their thing!

Thanks, Ron(CW) and Brent - Things seem to be smooth today!

Spent a bunch more time last night tinkering. Things seem pretty zippy so far today.

Brent,

So far today everything is working ok for me. A little slower than it was at first and a couple of times it acted as if it changed pages when it entered a post, but they went in ok. My big test will be from10:30 on our time as that was when I was having all of the weird problems. But yesterday I had now with either computer or my laptop and so far today everything is good. If I can get through today without any of those things happening when the load gets heavy, I think you have found the problem or at least the major one.

Brent,

I think that you have it figured out now. I had no problems except the occasional seeming to change pages as it posted yesterday and it was pretty fast even when the largest amount of people were online. Even my laptop seemed fast. Good work.

THANKS TO BRENT, CW, AND JAMO FOR THEIR HARD WORK

Ron

Brent,

I have had no problem at all since the other day until just now. I have been on and off the site several times today and posted ok. Then this time I like to never have gotten on. The load is less now than it was earlier when I was having no problems. But it acted just like it was before. A couple of the green bars and then just sit and would do nothing. I went to some other sites and posted and everything was great. Still couldn't get onto here. So I went off line, cleaned everything, turned the computer off and went over and tried another computer with the same results. Now I am back home and decided to try it again and this time it came right in like it has been the past two days. I am going to try to go to some of the forums and posts now and see it they work ok.

Jon,

I am still running into intermittent problems and hang ups, but right now things are working ok. Ron (CW) said he had noticed some slowing down and I think he is watching it. I posted about it over on the All cobra Talk thread also and Warren had a problem at about the same time I was having so many. I have noticed a couple of times in the past few minutes when I submit a post or try to change Forums, it will almost just stop like before and then go in. One post I got the Page Not Available error and hit the back button and my post was still there so I tried the Submit again and it went right in. I think they are on the track of the problem as I haven't had any for a couple of days and none today until I tried to log on earlier and I couldn't even get onto the site. I went out to some other sites and made a few posts and came back to my home page and sent Ron an e-mail from there that I couldn't get on, then I tried it one last time and it went right in.

Ok, it is now 3:37 Pacific time and I just ran into another odd thing. I started to submit a post and it was going in normal, then suddenly the green bars at the bottom stopped, the screen went blank for a second maybe then came back on and the green bars at the bottom started over and the post went right in. At times it is almost as if two different things in the software are trying to submit a post or do whatever it is I am doing at the same time and they just stop and will never time out or give me any error. The only way I can get out of it when that happens is to dump my connection and then come back on-line. Then later on an Edit I got a page not found error. I clicked the back button and my post I had edited was still in the Edit mode so I tried the Save button again and it started in fast, then stopped for a second or so and then went in. Today is the first time I have had any problems at all since the other day when Brent said he had removed something and done some work.

Man...sorry for the pain in the ass guys. I have been working on this every night, trying to narrow down the problem. I will continue the good fight.
