Default AUSTIN August Cruise

NO - I haven't forgotten - work has been **** - people on vacation and such - so much for my tale of woe......!!!! Let's get some feedback - how was San Marcos? Do we want to go back? Do we want to go somewhere else? Jacque & I will be going by Sam Hill tonight after work to check them out!!! I need some input from all.... I think that the third weekend of each month has worked well ....... so what say we leave it as it is??? August 18th - date and time tba by Wednesday - this week!! Sure would like to see some new faces - and some old faces that have been missed!!!!

Default Sam Hill would be fine

If we stay close, maybe Ed will drive. The weather will still be warm, but it's close to his house.

What about a dinner cruise in? It would be cooler and after we could all cruise over to a local car show.

Thumbs up

Cammer; The third weekend is fine by me.

Richard; Lets not plan something near my house just so I can bring out my FFR. I cruise almost every night after 8pm and my FFR's cockpit still gets real warm. I want to go where everyone wants to go, and not to make an exception for me. As the weather cools down my FFR will join the rest of the Cobras.

Barry; I like your suggestion, but not everyone has Saturday nights open. Your suggestion is fine with me. A bunch of Cobras at the Oakhill Car Show would be great, everyone is tired of looking at my FFR.

Come on Austin, lets hear your inputs so Cammer can set something up!

Default Evening Cruise

An evening cruise sounds good to me. Sorry Ed, looks like you drive more than I do. We need to get more than the 7 or 8 cars we usually get. After all, if Houston can get 7 we ought to be able to raise at least 10 or 12 if everyone comes out.

For an evening cruise we might want to consider someplace in town, maybe Threadgills or County Line or UR Cooks or even Sea Island.

I'm arriving the 18th, and I'm sure I won't be able to arrive and participate in your cruise on the same day. Besides, my wife would kill me. Not even sure my car will have arrived by then. However, next month....

Gregg,
Please accept our condolences to you and your family. It comes as a shock to me to hear of your loss. May I be so bold as to make a suggestion? Try to stay as busy as you can, it will be good for your mental state as well as your family's. Holler if I can do anything for you or your family.

Best wishes
Barry & Elvia Busbee

Okay guys - I hope that the replies for input to the last meeting and this meeting are not any indication of the turnout to be expected this next time. Anyway, Jacque and I had dinner at Sam Hill on Monday night - we talked to the proprietors, they are expecting us on Saturday the 18th of August - we can sit outside on the deck or inside in the A/C - let's wait and see how hot it is when we get there. Same plan as before meet there around 10:30 ---- lunch at 11:00 when they open. Us southerners can convoy from Ed's house like before - if that is okay??? Spread the word --- we have a date and time - come early - be loud - stay late and have a good time!!!!

No problem! Anyone wanting to convoy together can meet at my house at the usual time (9:30 - 10:00am). The coffee, sodas, or ice water will be ready for those early birds.

Give me a heads up who is coming over to my house with their Cobras so we can all wait and start together. Anyone not knowing how to get to my house off of HWY 71 let me know and I'll send you a map, or email me at: csoltko@hotmail.com.

Kyle; So you left Austin to cool off in California didn't you! I got all this flack from Barry about not taking my FFR out to San Marcos last month, instead I use my ac limo. So now I'll be taking the FFR to Sam Hill, and Barry's riding shotgun with me.

We're going to miss you and that silver SPF, have fun chasing those California gals.

PS; I'm going to take Barry's body temperature on the way up and back. We'll see how he likes riding in a "HOT" FFR.

Gregg -- very sorry to hear about your brother. Deep condolonces.

August 18? Seems so soon. I just managed to get my engine split into a thousand pieces. Oh well. I'll make it, but my Cobra can't.

Cheers.

I notified the Pantera group and several Panteras will join us at Sam Hill.

Richard and Joe; Will you be joining us for the convoy starting at my house? So far it's Cammer and my FFR.
