Welcome to the club and contact some of the Texas Cobra Club members on here to find out what they have going on. I know that they do a lot of things and have a great collection of cars.

Welcome here is the Texas CObra Club Spring meet info.
http://www.texascobrameet.com/2010
The meet this year will be held at the same location as last year, the Embassy Suites in San Marcos, TX, March 25th thru the 28th.
The website was designed to provide you with important information about the event. Online registration is now available.
We have made several major changes to the event for 2010.
Registration Fees
• The cost of registration is $65 for early/online registration and $75 for on-site registration.
• Registration fees include one adult ticket for the Saturday Night Banquet (see below), nightly security, deposits, printing, rental equipment, and a $5 per car donation to the Commemorative Air Force for use of their facilities.
Tailgate Parties vs. Saturday Night Banquet
• We will not be having nightly tailgate parties this year. The crowd has gotten too large to distribute the cost of the food among the hosting club chapters fairly and evenly.
• In lieu of the tailgate parties, there will be a banquet on Saturday evening at the hotel. Cost per adult is $40 and $12.95 per child 12 and under. One adult ticket is included in registration fee. See attached menu.
• We will be conducting the annual business meeting, have slide and video presentations, and close out the meet at the banquet.
• The price of the meal covers the food and the rental on room.
• There will be a cash bar at the banquet.
• The banquet must be pre-paid at the time of early/online registration. We have to give a head-count for the banquet to the hotel by March 15th.
• When you register for the meet you will be asked how many quests will be attending with you. Payment for each quest is required at time of registration.
Trailer and Tow Vehicle Parking
• Parking will be at a premium this year. The hotel has limited our parking due to other events scheduled at the hotel at the same time as ours. Parking will be first come-first served in the designated assigned areas ONLY. We should have ample room for Thursday and early Friday arrivals but Saturday arrival may have to use offsite parking.
• Offsite parking for trailers and tow vehicles will be available if we fill up our assigned parking areas. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Operation Comfort Road Rally
• Once again, it is our honor and privilege to sponsor a “Road Rally” to benefit Operation Comfort. Cost to participate is a $10 donation to Operation Comfort. Trophies will be award for the Top 3 score from the Road Rally. Please click on the link below for information about this exciting opportunity for us to give back to those courageous soldiers who served us so proudly defending our great nation.
• Click here for more details on the Texas Cobra Road Rally and how it supports Operation Comfort.

Welcome JW!
I'm guessing you are in the DFW area. Keep watching this spot for C&C and Monthly Meet details for this coming Sat. It's a little early in the week, but we'll get it agreed to by Friday at the latest
We're looking forward to meeting you and showing you the different types of Cobras we have. Walk up and introduce yourself .. ask for me!

Welcome JW.
As Sam said, Walk up and introduce yourself. The group here in DFW is the best. I don't have a car yet and this group has let me hang around for 2 1/2 years now. I was hesitant to come out at first, but these guys are great.

I am from Dallas but reside in the Austin area now. Currently own a Porsche(don't hold that against me)and will keep, but would like a American classic hotrod(Cobra). I have been checking out several builders and so far I seem to like the Backdraft guys. Your opinions are welcomed.

Welcome JW! You'll find some great input from this group. Either route you go with any manufacturer, you'll really enjoy this group. The Texas Cobra Club is a fantastic place to make friends and have some fun.
Hope to see you in San Marcos, or maybe sooner...
Bests, James

I don't know if Austin has a C&C event, but from what I can tell the guys there are just like the guys here in DFW. Very funny and genuinely good guys.

Welcome aboard!
I am a very happy LoneStar owner, building slowly in "stages". I really enjoyed researching and contacting the manufacturers that offer the "build" in Stages. I learned something from each one.

JW
The Austin group hasn't meet for the Month of February, but you can keep track of us at the Austincobraclub@yahoogroups.com . We are in the process of putting the finishing touches on the San Marcos Spring Meet. So come on by and enjoy the fun.
