Happy Birthday John! John was the first guy I saw in a Cobra after I got my Coupe. Jackie was with me and he waved wildly going down Hebron Pkwy. Like they say in New Orleans, Jackie said: "Who dat?"

Now we know. Have a Super Birthday and many more.

Happy Birthday Mr. Dean.

Mat Twiehaus and I are going over to JBL to check out their operation in a day or two. I had a very nice visit with Larry Goins today and looking forward to seeing his operations. By the way try and get Chris Noland to come to Run N Gun with you this year. There could be several JBL's show up this year.

Thanks guys for the well wishes.

The JBL is just about ready. First foray out of the garage for a shake down it was mis-firing badly, and I ran out of gas in front of my house after a four block round trip. Oh yeah and puked up a bunch of radiator fluid since the bottom hose was loose....how did that happen?

Current delay is I suspect a gremlin in the new MSD TFI distributor so got it replaced. My consultant Richard Parker agrees it is the dizzy at fault. Will try it out with the new one today. If that fixes the mis-firing then next step will be getting it registered/inspected etc.

Geez I know how jshel1 feels now..... about being 95% done for months;-)

Yeah Larry first time I saw that Daytona coming at me near my own neighborhood I turned my head around so fast I almost spilled my coffee. I thought "Who Dat been drivin' dat Daytona...."

Clois I do hope to show up at RnG someday soon. AND Chris Noland should feel a little compelled to show up since he said he bought a fancy JBL for the purpose of some fun on the track.....and to date his car has never seen a track. Maybe we can create a little pressure for him to try RnG out.

Hey if I can make it there, Vector1 Mark can bring 2 of them, Chris and Larry G. each brings one we will have a handful!

I was at the end of my road one day and saw John drive by in his Cobra. I turned and followed him to his house just a couple of blocks away. I had just gotten my car to the roller stage and I actually had never even ridden in one before. A couple of weeks later he picked me up and took me to lunch with the group next to the Granada Theater.
The next meeting Larry came by and picked me up in his coupe and we drove with John to meet the group in Irving.
Seems like a long time ago now.
Happy Birthday Guys!

I only have grand-dogs right now, so grampa does not work
Got the mis-fire fixed by replacing the distributor. Now I got to get the EFI tuned and sorted out. Getting closer. Also need all 4 wheels aligned.....then its off to the races, so to speak.
