Default San Marcos Meet Track Event FAQ Page

Hopefully this FAQ page will not foster more questions than it answers.

REGISTRATION
• For those not taking advantage of pre-registration, on-site sign up will be available at the hotel on Thursday afternoon/evening for $175 cash. See myself or one of the Austin principles for payment and paperwork.

• One spot remains in Novice, four spots in Intermediate, and six in Advanced.

GETTING TO AND LEAVING THE TRACK
• The rural roads to and from the track are VERY BUMPY and need to be traveled with GROUND CLEARANCE in mind. Entrance from the north, e.g. Yarrington Road, is the smoother route. Keep your speed down none the less.

• Directions from the Hotel:
35 North: 10.1 miles to Exit 210 (Yarrington Road) Access Road
35 North Access Road: 0.3 miles to County Road 159/Yarrington Road
Right Turn County Road 159/Yarrington Road East: 1.6 miles to County Road 160/Harris Hill Road
Right Turn County Road 160/Harris Hill Road: 1.0 mile to 2840 Harris Hill Road H2R (Destination on Left)

• H2R has neighbors, and would appreciate us respecting them by entering and exiting the property in a safe, quiet, and traction controlled manner.

ONCE AT THE TRACK
• All present on H2R Property (including spectators) must sign the Liability Waiver Book located in the H2R Clubhouse upon arrival. Upon signing, you will be issued a wristband.

• Spectators should arrive after 1300 hrs.

• Minor children are not permitted in the Staging/Paddock Area, but are welcome in the Clubhouse.

• GAS IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK. Come prepared with a full tank, and/or bring fuel jugs, and/or be prepared to make a fuel run. Nearby Valero stations offering 93 octane are located in Kyle at 201 High Road and in San Marcos at 1550 IH-35 N, near Aquarena Springs Road.

• For securement of truck bed and open trailer contents, there are two options...
- Find a friend with an enclosed trailer to stow your items (I can recommend a whole list of folks.)
- H2R has an office within the clubhouse, that will have constant supervision.

• Schedule for the day:
1000 - 1100 hrs = Arrival and Unloading
1100 - 1215 hrs = Techcheck
1215 - 1300 hrs = Drivers Safety Meeting
1300 - 1330 hrs = Advanced Session 1
1330 - 1400 hrs = Intermediate Session 1
1400 - 1430 hrs = Novice Session 1
1430 - 1500 hrs = Intermediate Session 2
1500 - 1515 hrs = Break
1515 - 1545 hrs = Advanced Session 2
1545 - 1615 hrs = Novice Session 2
1615 - 1645 hrs = Advanced Session 3
1645 - 1715 hrs = Intermediate Session 3
1715 - 1745 hrs = Novice Session 3
