Park at AER in the designated Cobra area
Walk over to IHOP around 9:00 or 9:30am
Rooty-Tooty-Fresh-n-Fruity or other
Waddle back to AER
Register for Show & Shine
Balloting
Visit with TCC, NTMC, SCAT, and other Hot Rod Owners
Awards at 3:00pm

AER counts on a big Cobra turnout every year to the extent that we have our own category with 3-4 trophies.
So we have chiming in so far as attendees: David, Sam, Colin, Jay, and myself.

I am a new owner in the area, still need to meet most of you. I plan on making the event, probably not breakfast. Weather forecast looks good.

I may have to work tomorrow morning so I may miss breakfast. I will find out for sure later today. Unless something changes, I plan on coming out after work as of right now.

So as mentioned in the previous thread ...

First timers .. arrive before 9:30 am and there will likely be parking with the group in the designated Cobra area. After that, park as close as you can or where you are directed by the event staff.

If you are in the designated area, it is not always possible to get out before the awards and charity auction are over. So if you are arriving after 9:30 and leaving before 3, park where you can get out. And everybody remember to bring chairs!

I plan on being there but will be late. Cody has a Soccer game at Pizza Hut Park from 8:00 - 9:15. I am guessing I will get the about 9:30 or a little later.

I have to be to work by 8 tomorrow morning and my boss hopes to have us out of there by Noon or 1. Looks like I am out. By the time I get home and shower, then get out there it will be time to come back home. If I even get out in time to make it out there. Plus the wife has plans for us to go out tomorrow night, so looks like I have to wait until June to make it out for a Cobra fix.

I will be there at 9am. Mark W. is bringing his Cobra too, he said that he is going to be there at 7:30. I told him it is Saturday and no one gets up that early?

I had to leave earlier afternoon but got an email from Mark Winkelman and he won best cobra, best of show and Bob McGraw's (AER Owner) pick of the show. He said the Bob McGraw's trophy was taller them him and was pretty funny having all 3 trophies in the passenger seat sticking up a few feet over the windshield. I know Mark usually doesn't enter his car in the competition being a real 427 Cobra, but looks like he did this year. Was nice seeing his car and George's 427 Comp Car (2 real 427s) at the show this year.

Default As I recall ...

In addition to Mark's haul, class trophies to Ray Russell, Richard Parker, David Meyer, and Colin. Seitz won a class with the Mustang, and Reyburn won a class with the Daytona. Congratulations!!

Except for Ray and Colin, all the winners were parked in the sun, not under the awning . This is usually the case, so remember.

It was a loooong day if you stayed. The last of us left at 4:45 pm.

Sam

Default Great weather and turnout

Had to leave early but we had a nice turnout of Cobras...and I think the overall attendance was high. Congrats to the (large) trophy winners!
