Dallas October 2nd Lunch
Update: Let's try something new as Sammy recommended;
Red's Patio Grille
4005 Preston Road
Plano, Texas
469-229-0098
This is just south of Spring Creek on Preston west side of the road in the strip mall where Weirs Furnature is. I call them and they open at 11am and will seat us on the Patio over looking the pond.... http://www.redspatiogrill.com/

Sounds like a plan...Cars and Coffee...Brickhouse at 11:00, catch up on the latest news, lunch around 11:45 (beat the crowd). My race car is broke, no Hallett this week end boo-hoo so we'll be there. Jackie asked, "Hey, isn't that where Cold Water Creek has a store?"
Put us down for two.

Gary, I posted yesterday asking about the plan for Saturday, learned from Sammy that I was a bit premature. New guy, still learning. I am in for one, look forward to hearing about your new KC 496. Forecast for Saturday looks like more of the same great weather. For those going to Cars and Coffee, are you meeting somewhere to caravan over or just show up? What time? Larry Carlson

Larry, tell Jackie that Cold Water Creek is there, but Eddie Bauer isn't. They closed up shop about 3 weeks ago.
I drive by this place twice a day and have been wanting to check it out. Good idea Gary. Put us down for 4.

I just talke to the Brick House Tavern and they open and have a car show planned at 11am and also hosting TX/OU parties later for the game at 2:30pm. He would love for us to come and would fit us in but probably have tables right inside by the bar vs the outside patio. So do you guys want to stay with this location or go to the Filling Station or back to Jakes or? I told him I would confirm with him Friday am so sound off???????

Give the Filling Station a call or Red's Patio Grill http://www.redspatiogrill.com/ further up Preston. I don't think we want to be in the middle of their car show.

Gary,
I think the Filing Station is closed, you might want to check.

Ok....I called the Filling Station and number disconnected so let's take Sammy's recommendation:
Red's Patio Grille
4005 Preston Road
Plano, Texas
469-229-0098
Just south of Spring Creek on Preston west side of the street. I believe it is in the strip mall where Weirs Furnature is. I called and they open at 11am and will seat us on their patio over looking the lake (more like a pond). Nice and close to Cars and Coffee.....

Great! Thanks for doing the heavy lifting, Gary
Red's is out of sight from Preston Rd, but you turn into the strip mall like you were going to Weir's Furniture and wind around to the south, behind the "Mi Cocina" restaurant. You will also see "Breadwinner's" cafe as you enter the mall.
I recommend we go in at 11:00 am since the football crowd is afoot ...

Count me in.
I'm in for lunch. I say 10:30 sounds good. Is anyone planning on C&C? Not sure if I can make that one yet.
