Default Stepped Up Timetable

For those still going to Grand Saline on Saturday (weather permitting), we need to depart our rendezvous point in Mesquite no later than 7:45.

The parade organizers are a little anxious about staging the forward participants. As a wise man once told me, "No one has achieved their greatness by being late."

Sorry to hear that we will be missing Richard P and Colin. I hope snakebit and jdean can get their wrenching done. Too much peanut butter will make will make me unhappy; I hope there is some smuckers to make it a pb & J.

Any last minute adds to the roll call?

Smile Hey Peter Pan and Skippy

I'll be acting as nurse for Jackie. She is having knee surgery Friday. Peanut butter, Bar-b-q, Cobras, and great friends are hard to pass. You all have a great time.

Larry,

Tell Jackie I wish her the best on her knee surgery. We want only the best for those great legs!

John,

I would like to suggest that when leaving the Country Tavern instead of going up 14 to Mineola and picking Hwy 80, which is boring for the most part, that we go around Tyler on the Loop and pick up Hwy 64 to Canton across I 20 to Wills Point and then pick up Hwy 80.

Seriously folks, I was going to bathe before meeting up with the group (I mean just Eric and Greg).

I am still in and will be at Exxon/Cinemark on NW corner of Beltline & 80 at 7:30 for any of you that have not spoken or any that change their mind (again). I will be foregoing the tortuous trip home and saving the Country Tavern for another day, choosing instead to spend more time soaking in Grand Saline's hospitality and then returning to DFW more directly.

I will be showered, the car will be polished and Texas Cobra Club will be represented as promised to the Grand Saline Chamber.
The JSHEL1 roadster will be poised for photography with Miss Texas and certainly be available for an appearance in the New York Times.
