Here is the Track FAQ:
• Directions to the Track from the Hotel (see map below):
35 North: 10.1 miles to Exit 210 (Yarrington Road) Access Road
35 North Access Road: 0.3 miles to County Road 159/Yarrington Road
Right Turn County Road 159/Yarrington Road East: 1.6 miles to County Road 160/Harris Hill Road
Right Turn County Road 160/Harris Hill Road: 1.0 mile to 2840 Harris Hill Road H2R (Destination on Left)
• GAS IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK. Come prepared with a full tank, and/or bring fuel jugs, and/or be prepared to make a fuel run. Nearby Valero stations offering 93 octane are located in San Marcos at 1550 N IH-35, near Aquarena Springs Road and in Kyle at 201 High Road.
• The rural roads to and from the track have some dips and bumps and need to be traveled with GROUND CLEARANCE in mind.
• H2R has neighbors, and would appreciate us respecting them by entering and exiting the property in a safe, quiet, and traction controlled manner.
• All present on H2R Property (including spectators) will be expected sign the Liability Waiver Book located in the H2R Clubhouse upon arrival.
• Minor children are not permitted in the Staging/Paddock Area, but are welcome in the Clubhouse.
• For securement of truck bed and open trailer contents, there are two options...
- Find a friend with an enclosed trailer to stow your items (I can recommend a whole list of folks.)
- H2R has an office within the clubhouse, that will have constant supervision.
• Schedule for the day:
1000 - 1100 hrs = Arrival and Unloading
1100 - 1200 hrs = Techcheck
1200 - 1230 hrs = Drivers Safety Meeting
1230 - 1300 hrs = Final Prep, Group Picture, & Lunch for Track Participants and Operation Comfort guests
(Thanks Brian and Lone Star Classics)
1300 - 1325 hrs = Advanced Session 1
1325 - 1350 hrs = Novice Session 1
1350 - 1415 hrs = Intermediate Session 1
1415 - 1440 hrs = Advanced Session 2
1440 - 1505 hrs = Novice Session 2
1505 - 1530 hrs = Intermediate Session 2
1530 - 1555 hrs = Advanced Session 3
1555 - 1620 hrs = Intermediate Session 3

1645 - 1710 hrs = Advanced Session 4

Harris Hill Raceway - I just spent the weekend at Harris Hill running the GT500 and the track it is in very good condition. The only rough spot is on the infield side starting about half way between turn 8 and just through the apex of turn 9. If you are on line it shouldn’t be a problem; at the very most only having to deal with a few ’00 feet and it isn’t that bad. I ran through it on purpose just to check it out with no concerns.

Don't be bragging about how stiff you are, Bwana. :-)
H2R did benefit quite a bit from the partial repave. The "jump" between 10 & 11 is smooth, as are the ripples going into 6. Should be conducive to some fun laps.

Eric and Bo told me that the track was faster than last year because of the smoothing. Looking forward to seeing all participants.
On another note, many of our CVAR guests will be running in the advanced group, and be equipped to provide rides for demonstration of the fastest line to intermediate and novice drivers. In addition to having the second seat, they will have full roll cage, curtains, etc.
My ride alongs with Larry Reyburn, Steve Seitz, and Seth Higgins have helped my skills tremendously at TMS, Cresson, and Harris Hill.

Bwana,
That was a joke! I'm sure as hell no know it all, just having fun, hence the "smiley" at the end of my statement. I hope my post wasn't interpreted as anything else; if so, my apologies. Looking forward to seeing you and the rest of the crew in a few weeks.

Welcome Radical Roadsters of Texas - Thanks James.
Welcome Kress Motorsport - Thanks Fran.
Dear Texas Cobra Club Members,
It looks like one way or another (silent auction, raffle ticket or goodie bag) everyone will be leaving with something... so leave the hotel soap, shampoo, and bathrobe behind. You aren't going to have room for it with all of this swag filling the front of my garage.
See the complete list of sponsors here.

John You Rock!
John,
I just wanted to thank you and tell you how honored I am to have a friend like you. You have taken the bull by the horns on the Track Day and have made it into something very special.
I look forward to seeing you in a few days and buy you a beer or three.
As a veteran I can honestly say thank you from all the veterans for what you, the TCC members and all the sponsors are doing. Thank you, thank you. You are indeed a Great American.

Truck available
I will be coming to San Marcos Thursday morning in my truck. If anyone needs anything hauled to Harris Hill Raceway Friday morning, such as tires, fuel cans, jacks, etc I will be going with the early crew. I have a Toyota Tacoma long bed.
