Default Cruise up to Factory Five -Wareham, MA. - June 2011

I have threads running on the FFR related sites, but thought I would put it here too in case any of you non-FFR guys are feeling adventurous.

I'm planning a cruise up to the FFR Open House on June 11th. Anyone around here interested? Just let me know and I'll keep you updated on the plans.

Man I'm ready for warm weather!

Default FF5 Open House

I live near Wareham and go to their event every year. It's a nice event and I enjoy lunch on them. I wish ERA would do a similar event. I would not suggest going with a non FF5 Cobra.

There's plenty of parking nearby, even if there's not room on the Factory Five parking lot for other brands. Either way, I was directing this more at the local Texas guys who might want to make a trip to the NE. There's plenty of things to do or see in the Cape Cod or Boston area, even if you want to skip the Factory Five Open House. But,,,,,,,,, I bet if some others drive with me 1800 miles, FFR will let all of us on the parking lot.

If you are driving that far anyway, you might as well stop in at ERA, too. It's only a couple of hours west of Wareham (through or around Providence, RI, and Hartford, CT, just southwest of Hartford).

My wife and I drove to ERA from Cape Cod four years ago; we stopped in at FFR that same day on our way back to the Cape. It's an easy drive with a variety of potential routes and scenery. Peter can recommend restaurants in New Britain.

A warning, though--as much as we like FFRs and other brands, it was that comparison trip that decided us on buying ERA!

Misting cold rain and 50 degrees when I parked it last night. The locals told me that it is very unusual weather for this time of year up here. It's up to 54 degrees right now and no rain! Time to get the car uncovered and try pushing on to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada now!

I made it as far as Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. It just got too cold and wet. The forecast was for it to continue for another 3 days. I just couldn't wait out the weather and didn't want to continue driving in it. I'm now back down at my Mom's house in Friendly, W.V. resting and relaxing for a few days. I also noticed that my rear tires are now worn out, so I have a new set ordered. They should be here on Monday, so I will then been heading up to check out Niagra Falls on one day. I also want to do some exploring in the West Virginia mountains before leaving for LCS on Thursday.

Here's another thread about the Open House. That's me and the rest of the Multi-State Open House Cruisers in the first photo.
