Viva la Big Bend!!! Wish we could join you, but we'll surely be seeing you next fall.

Bill S, make a note we need to speak with this sheriff before next year.

Lajitas in August?
Lajitas in November would make a lot more sense.

I have done that route before but in reverse order.

Terligua-Lajitas-Presidio-Marfa-Fort Davis.

The River Road,FM 170, is nothing if not amazing.I slowed down and just enjoyed the views.

Beer drinking goat, stars that fill the night sky, miles of open roads, Starlight Theater for Margaritas, drive to Santa Elena Canyon, just awesome country. Just returned from our family vacation out there. The folks at Lajitas were great and love to have the car clubs come down.

SAAC will be back to Lajitas in September (yr 3) for their annual event. Same venue, closing the airport for skid pad, 10 mile stretch of highway for "Spirited" drives, all staying at Lajitas Resort. Ample parking for many many trailers, two pools, 91 octane gas, there are even gas stops inside the park. Watch out for javelina and free range burros. Absolutely safe along this stretch of the border. Check out the Cowboy Shoot & 5-Stand at Lajitas - bring your guns - Kathy will take good care of you.
