Cool 12 Hours of Sebring 1965

This is a big part of our heritage and too cool not to share.
Enjoy.....

1965 Sebring 12-Hour Race

5.2 mile course w/famous names & cars, & trite "What's it like out there" commentary.

No ARMCO, no firesuits, no driveover bridge to the paddock, a few haybales, etc.

Part One:

Part Two:

Part Three:

Part Four:

Part Five:

Enjoy!

Great stuff, you older guys remember ABC's Wide World of Sports coverage of motorsports events?

Absolute magic from the past! The Chaparrals and Jim Hall were my "heroes" back then. I remember reading about the race, with Hall slowing down to something like 5 mph in some places, with rain running UP his hood into the cockpit...great footage.

Older? I have to be older to remember that? The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat?

These are great clips from Sebring, thanks for sharing Larry.

How refreshing. They interview a driver and we don't have to listen to the product swamped responce.

Could you imagine, "yeah, the Ford, Tide, Motul, Firestone, Viagra Cobra ran great! It had a little overstear at the Home Depot, Bear Brake corner, but my Depends, Craftman's crew did a spectacular job.........."

Steve, did you have to use 'Depends" as a sponsor example in your rant? Hehehe.

Interesting how soft the suspension was 1965 - good to see at the 50 sec mark of the 3rd film clip.

Thanks for posting that.
