Default DFW November Lunch

How about the Ponder Steakhouse & Ranchman Cafe, Ponder, TX. this would be a good location for the east siders.

Arrive 10:30 and have lunch at 11:00 and then maybe cruise up to Turner Falls, do a loop around Lake Murray and maybe stop along the way at Munster for a German beer?

I talked to Dave the owner and he said he would really like to have us come and he would try to make it really special for us.

just FYI -- its NASCAR weekend at TMS. Traffic getting to Ponder might be hectic.

However, that being said - if I had my cobra I would be there regardless - sounds like a fantastic fall run!

Dave brought this to my attention but said it shouldn’t be a problem the race should be getting underway by the time we get there. He said NASCAR weekends are always his slow days we just need to be out of the area by 4:00. From Dallas it shouldn’t be a problem 35W to FM 2449 and the east siders come north on FM156.

Thumbs up

So now that I've moved to California you guys plan a lunch right by where I used to live. Oh well, so much for good timing. Hope you all have a good time in Ponder.

Won't make it this time.

Hope to get the engine in Saturday.

At least it's painted!

Hope to see you all next month.

Sorry we won't be able to make it. We have season tickets to UT football. Sounds like a great lunch and cruise.

An idea that was brought up a 2 weeks ago in Meridian - the "Hard 8" in Coppell. Avoids the traffic for TMS this W/E, and we can do Ponder and the cruise another month.

Otherwise, I'm in for 1 car/1 seat.
Francis

I am in for whatever. The wife actually wants to come out again and she would enjoy a cruise I think. Still haven't convinced her to ride with someone in a Cobra, she said she would if it was ours and I was driving, but not someone she has never ridden with. Maybe a good opportunity to get her convinced.

Let's decide where we are going to go. Francis, I like Gary's plan for Saturday -- steakhouse in Ponder, Turner Falls, Lake Murray. Seems like he has traffic figured out, no problem for us (we'll let him know in a forceful way if that's wrong). We can do Hard 8 Coppell another time. Group OK with that? Larry

Either way I have to split right after lunch and I like the idea of a cruise so I vote for ponder. That way I can cruise out there with a few and get a small cruise in. I haven't done that since we went to Paris about a year and a half ago.

We are confirmed with Dave at Ponder Steak House / Ranch Hand Cafe and the cruise. Parking in Ponder is in the center of the street right in front of the cafe and Richard Rogers has the cruise laid out, done deal and the weather looks great. Dave swears he has the best chicken fried steak in Texas, I will have to pass but I hope someone will confirm.
