Rahr Brewery Tour and Tasting - Sat. - January 21st

DFW Members: Would there be any interest in going to Rahr Brewery in Fort Worth? It's a pretty neat deal for $7.00. For the $7 they give you a Rahr Brewery pint glass that can be filled three times with whichever brew you want. You get to keep the glass. They normally have live music entertainment and food that you can buy if you desire. They also give a free brewery tour that is kind of neat. As the link details, it's every Saturday between 1PM-3PM, but we might want to get there between 12-12:30..

If there's interest I can contact the brewery and check into getting some roped off parking. Parking is generally pretty limited, but I may be able to talk them into saving the small parking lot for the Cobras / Coupes and make the rest of the general public park on the streets.

Let's say January 21st. I could use a car count so I know if I need to talk to the brewery about securing the parking lot for our cars. I'll tell them that if it's raining on that day we won't need the parking lot. Who's interested?

Great idea Joe.
Vicki says she is in also... add our two heads to the count.

We are out. :( Sounds fun but Trina's son is home on leave and we have other plans for that Saturday. We are treating him to a day out and Texas De' Brazil for dinner.

A Westside function. Sounds great. Count me in for two seats and a parking spot.

I'm out again, still too sick with this cold/flu crud that's been going around.

Stoney FFR 01-13-2012 07:47 AM

Not THIS Weekend

This newbie will be there, with the wife and the first outing for BDR 759 at her new home in Texas.

Very cool. I'm looking forward to seeing the new ride. I assume BDR is Backdraft. I own a Factory Five, but I really like how they finish out the interiors of those Backdrafts. Very nice looking.

With that said, if there is anyone that hasn't expressed interest yet, please let me know ASAP if you think you're going to come to this with your Cobra or Coupe. The extended forecast shows that it's suppose to be 70 degrees and SUNNY on Saturday.

I've called and left messages and also sent email to Rahr Brewery and haven't had a reply. I'm going to drive over there soon if I don't hear anything. I really need to have a car count since the main purpose of me contacting them is to get their parking lot reserved for US! Otherwise we are going to have to park on the street.

Weather is supposed to be great on Saturday, so there may be plenty of folks looking for something nice to enjoy on a Saturday afternoon. We will be in a daily driver, but confirming two in attendance.

Hi. I attend a couple of outings a year but admit it has been awhile since I have been to a gathering. This sounds like fun and I plan on bring there Saturday. One FFR and two for a brew.
I also have a friend I that will there in his SPF.
Hope they enough parking spaces.

jdean 01-16-2012 09:21 PM
