Default Texas Cobra Meet Updates

I have posted several updates to the Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet website Texas Cobra Meet. The updates include the following:

Event Tee-Shirt Ordering Info
Track Day Registration and Fee Info
Updated Agenda
Attendee List

As a reminder you will need to Register AND make fee payment as soon as possible. Just making a payment does not register you, your guests, or your car. We need this information for name tags, security planning, and meeting updates.

Thanks
Ken Walker

Default This is going to be great.

Thanks for the updates Ken.

For those not checking out the trackday-webpage, I would like to recognize the following sponsors for their generous support of our state meet, the trackday and Operation Comfort:

Valero Energy
Keith Craft
Hurricane Motorsports
LoneStar Classics, and
Harris Hill Road

Checklist:
I have put in my tee-shirt order with Deb.
I have signed up for the track.
I have paid my registration to include parking lot security and incidentals, poker run, and my selection of steak and salmon.

I am stoked to know the crowd is coming from all over Texas and from beyond, so far including Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, New Mexico, and Missouri.

We are now up to 61 cars registered and over 75 people chimed-in for the Friday night cookout. We have folks from TX, GA, FL, IL, MO, IA, OK, AR, LA and other parts unknown coming to this year's meet.

We are now looking for donations for the Saturday Night Silent Auction. We will take just about anything. Last year we sold fishing trips, cases of wine, gift baskets, HID Headlight Installations, Car Covers, Frame Artwork, etc. The donations do not have to be automobile related.

Please contact me at kenswalker@att.net if you would like to donate items. All proceeds from the Silent Auction go to Operation Comfort's Automotivation Team. Last year's event raised over $10K for OC.

The Track Event at Harris Hill is a go! More information is on the Website.

Poker Run on Saturday is a GO. Trophies and prizes!!

If you have registered but not paid, please pay your fees as soon as possible. Go to Texas Cobra Meet then click on the Attendees tab to see if we have received your registration AND payment. I updated the site with information received this morning Feb 5th.

See you in March
KEN

Very surprised by the number of out of state attendees this year and by so few from Houston area on the list. How recent was the list on the TCC site? I'll send out a email to our group, have them make sure they're all signed up. Thanks again to all the guys and gals in the ACC for making this happen.

The registration list for the TCC Spring Meet was just updated at 9pm Sunday, Feb 12th. As of now we have 72 cars registered. Looks like we will top last year's attendance numbers. We are having more out-of-staters and a bunch of new Texas guys showing up for their first time. Welcome to all.

We are still looking for donation for the silent auction. All proceeds from the auction and other activities go to Operation Comfort's Automotivation.

If you have anything to donate please email me at kenswalker@att.net

Thanks
Ken Walker

As of today, February 29 we have 92 registered for the event and over 125 signed up for the Friday Nite Tailgate party.

We have several folks who have registered for the event but not yet paid. AND we have a couple of folks who paid via Paypal but did not register for the event. I apologize for any inconvenience but our website is one of those freebies and it is not sophisicated enough to link our registration to Paypal. Maybe next year!!

Still looking for donations for the Silent Auction with proceeds benefitting Operation Comfort's Automotivation.

Please go to Attendees | Texas Cobra Meet to verify your registration/payment status. If you have any questions or comments please email me at kenswalker@att.net

Thanks
Ken Walker

Just as an FYI. I only update the website once a week with new attendees and payment status. The process is a manual one so the website is not automatically updated with new information. I should have the next update out either Sunday or Monday evening.

In addition to the Silent Auction on Saturday night, during the Friday Night Tailgate Cookout we will have an area set aside for a good ol' car parts swap meet. So if you have any gently used parts, New-Old Stock parts, tools, or extra stuff in your garage that you can no longer live with, bring it to San Marcos. Remember it is Spring Cleaning Time.

All we ask that if you sell something, please make a small donation to our Operation Comfort-Automotivation fund. This will be on the honor system and no one will be patroling the area asking for donations.

If you have registered for the event but not paid your fees thru PayPal, please do so as soon as possible. Tickets for the Saturday Night Banquet will NOT be available after Monday, March 26th and WILL NOT BE SOLD onsite in San Marcos. We have to have a headcount into the hotel banquet staff on the 26th.

Go to Event Fees | Texas Cobra Meet to make payment via PayPal.

You may pay onsite with cash or check but NO BANQUET TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE.

I will update the attendee list and payment status in the next day or so. Looks like we have over 100 cars registered so far.

Thanks
Ken Walker

As of noon on Monday, March 12th, we have 102 cars registered for the TCC Spring Meet. This is shaping up to be one of the biggest and best events we have ever held.

A few housekeeping notes:

If you have registered but not paid please do so as soon as possible. Meal Tickets for the Saturday Night Banquet are only available online. No tickets will be sold onsite during the Meet. Deadline for purchases is Monday, March 26th. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Go to Texas Cobra Meet to register and/or pay. Also there is an attendee list on the website as well.

We will be holding a Swap Meet during the Friday Night Tailgate Cookout at the hotel starting around 5:30pm.

There will be a competition cooking team preparing our Friday night meal. All proceed for the cookout will be donated to Operation Comfort.

Still looking for Silent Auction item donations.

There are 2 planned cruises: Friday's Cruise 200+ mile cruise to Marble Falls
Saturday's Cruise is a 5 stop Poker Run.

Hope to see you in San Marcos in only 15 days!!!!!
