Default Tornadoes in Texas - Roll Call

Wow we have had some bad weather kick up in the last few hours. Tornadoes in Dallas, Arlington, Garland ....

I hope everyone is OK.

We had some really bad rain but that is about it so far.

Everyone check in to let us know you are OK.

OK in Carrollton. A tornado touched down in Forney, where Jim Jacobs lives. I checked with him...he lost part of a tree but is OK otherwise. He saw the tornado form that took it out.

Default damage was extensive

It blew a freshly poured cup of scotch that was sitting on the back of my truck while I was taking some cokes into the shop. THE HORROR of it all! I may not sleep for the rest of the night with such a memory.

SDeriously...prayers go out to all that were affected.

Jay

I was surrounded, East in Lancaster and Forney and West in Arlington, but all is well here in Grand Prairie. Best wishes - hope ya'll make it through unscathed.

We're in north Dallas and only got rain & wind. No tornado or hail.
Glad because the body was outside on the buck and I couldn't get back home in time to cover it or get it in the garage.

I think one of the tornadoes either passed VERY close or over us here, but we didn't get any damage. Hopefully James and Penny are okay over in Joshua.

Jay,

I know I good shrink to help with your pain and suffering. You all keep an eye on the radar. I really dont want to come up there in my army stuff and dig you all out. Unless Jay gets the scotch stocked back up.

Out here on the western fringes we got a lot of rain and some half-dollar sized hail, but mostly dime and nickel sized. No bad winds.

Certainly nothing like the horror that Jay experienced.

Looks like 12 touched down during the afternoon. Heard one came down and back up at Trinity Mills and North Dallas Tollway about 5 miles south of Ford Office in North Plano. Most went west or east of us....

Thumbs up

Thinking about all my friends there in the Dallas area and hoping you are all OK. Tornadoes are something we don't experience here in SoCal, but earthquakes, that's another story. Stay safe friends.

Sounds to me like instant Karma for violating the shop with cokes.

Whew!! Very close call but we are okay. We were on our balcony and watched the funnel forming at 150 yards and then pass at 20 yards to west side of house taking out part of a tree. Thanks to everyone for checking on us. Our prayers go out to all who were less fortunate.

My 2001 F150 SuperCrew was in Las Colinas with Nick. Windshield was busted out by baseball sized hail. getting replaced today.

The hood, roof, fenders, etc is a different story. I guess its an official beater now.

Bobby,

Take the money and get your cobra started. Last hail storm we had in Austin I had about $2500.00 worth of damage. Took the money and did some things to the cobra. Fixed most of the dings myself.
