Default AER Spring 2012 Sat May 5

Heads up! For our May monthly meet, the DFWCC traditionally supports this hot rod show by entering our cars or at least attending. There will be a charity auction and door prize drawings. We usually arrive by 9 am to capture our show parking spots, register, and then meander over to the IHOP for breakfast. If you are not entering the show, it doesn't matter when you arrive. Fyi new attendees - the drawings finish up about 3 pm, so it is a long day if you stay for all of it. Bring a folding chair. There will be food sold on site.

I'll be there. After 2 1/2 years the roadster is finally ready!

Oh wait, not it's not. I have to pull the engine and send it back to Ford.

I'll try to be there in the DD though.

Dang, sorry to hear it. What is the issue with the engine? Were you able to get it inspected like you were planning?

Don't want to derail this thread, but all the cylinders are oil fouled. Pressure tested the crankcase and the intake was tight, so it's coming in thru the valve seals or pistons. Either way, it's a warranty issue so it's going back.
And no, I'm waiting until this gets resolved to get it inspected. Need your wiper back?

Ok, now back to our regular programming.....

Is this the toy drive event, or am I getting that mixed up with something else?

Since I have missed this event every year I am going to try and make it this year. I will not be entering in the show, so what time do you usually make it to Ihop for the pancakes?

I'll meet you guys at IHOP. Don't know how long I will stay at the show, but probably get there at about 9:45-10:00

Thumbs up

I always enjoyed attending this event and will miss being there. 1400 miles is a bit too far to drive for a gathering . Enjoy yourselves and I'll be thinking about all of you folks.

Change of plans. Won't make it again this year. Shift to mornings is always difficult for me.
