Joe,

Thanks Jay.. I helped take that 8.8 out of the Mustang years ago.. It's FOX width which is perfect!
Thanks Paul! I will be in contact soon. Don't get rid of it!!
Joe

Congrats on the deal. Hope he still has the COO.
I've got an extra housing sitting in my garage right now that NEEDS another home. I am authorized to make a very great deal.
I should have paint on mine sometime next week then it will be done (again).

Joe,
Congratulations! It will be nice if it turns out half as good as your roadster. BTW, if you cannot obtain the MSO, send me a pm and I will tell you how to get it registered without one. No big deal.
John

Jerry,
Congratulations to you too! I didn't know you and Mike took the Coupe plunge.
Per Jay's comment on the 351....all things being equal, you would give up very little if anything in terms of power by going with a 347, but you would get a sure fit under the hood, and save some weight. After all your goal is to be faster than Mike, right?

Congrats on becoming a Coupe owner! I bought mine partially completed from out of state. If I remember correctly, the MSO that is issued by FFR has a place on the back for ownership transfer, just like a title. Print off a bill of sale ( google "bill of sale" for printable forms ) that you both sign and have notarized just to be on the safe side. Keep it handy when you go to license it, but all they should really need to see is the MSO, and maybe some receipts depending on the state.
As for engines, mine came with a 351W, and I went to a 347. I had to get new headers, but the swap was fairly simple. The 289/302 block engine just looks better and you're not so restricted in your selection of intake manifolds, air cleaners, etc. to get hood clearance. Not to mention weight savings. My first FFR Roadster had a well built 302 that was very quick. Later, I stroked it to 331, more compression, bigger cam, etc. It was more power than I could put through sticky 285 width tires until I was in 3rd gear. After years of driving it and being thoroughly used to the cars manners, it could still scare me.

Thanks for the info guys.. The seller has the MCO/MSO and he is going to give me a notorized Bill of Sale and the MCO/MSO. I went to the sub-courthouse a couple of days ago and the DMV said that would work, so no worries.
Made it to Meridian, MS. today. Drove through lots of rain..

Joe, you sneaky devil! Looking forward to seeing it at the meet next year. I'm sure you will have it ready for us. Gonna race it too? Congrats!
