New Coupe Kit Owner!
Looks like I'm going to be the owner of a new FFR Coupe kit, unless the deal falls through! I'm headed to North Carolina on Saturday to pick it up.
Has anyone ever purchased a kit from out of state before from a private individual? I'm planning to get the original Factory Five Certificate of Origin (with the Seller's name listed) and a notorized Bill of Sale. Should that be sufficient?
Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm going to be the owner of a FFR Coupe kit?!! WOOOHOOOO!!

Joe:
Allllllllllrrrrrrrighttty! That is great news. Is the kit partially complete or in the box?
My kit is getting completed and boxed up on Saturday. It is supposed to be on the truck next week. Mike's follows in about two weeks.
Hey...can you get two kits in a your trailer. If so, I need you to swing on up to Wareham, Mass!
All kidding aside, this is going to be great fun.
Gary...We need you and Francis to jump on in...the water's fine.

Looking forward to it, although I may be a little slower than you guys getting it together. It's a base kit. The kit is a new generation Coupe (red body) and the only thing he has done is bolted on the steering rack and front LCAs. So yeah, basically starting from scratch.
Anybody have an 8.8 rear end laying around? Right now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to use another donor or source parts individually.. Fun fun!

There's beauty in the beast!
Hurrah! The more the merrier. I would strongly suggest that one installs A/C for comfort and spousal endorsement. One word of caution...Check with Jay regarding the problems he encountered buying a Coupe after it sat without a buck....The fiberglass warped creating a real build challenge.

Thanks! I'm planning for it to have A/C, Heat, PB, PS; that much I do know. I'll use a buck to store the body. Wish I still had my body buck from the Roadster.

Not finding any details about a Manufacturer Certificate of Origin issued to another person from another state and the requirements of Texas in order for me to get it titled here.. Headed to the county sub-courthouse in a few.. Guess I'll find out.. Thanks

Joe...we may need to have a buck building party. I am concerned about letting the body sit is a hot (west facing) garage at the lake house. It gets very hot in there and that concerns me. I have not seen much about Coupe body buck on line. They mainly mention cutting two boards to a certain length an placing them like an upside down V under the roof.

Don:
I am going with a 351/400hp carbed from Engine Factory. My brother (whose kit is headed this way in two weeks) is doing the same.

Sounds good Jerry! Let's do it.. Here's one version, but I'm not sure I like it that high. http://www.carrollclan.com/FFR/BODYBUCK/index.html
I'll probably leave mine outside too. Between the Cobra, Coupe, Motorcycle, Motorcycle Trailer and Cheryl's Acura I think I have just about ran out of room in the garage.

Let me think
You may want to do some research. Using the 351 in my coupe, we had to alter the hood scoop area due to deck height. It is worth questioning. Congrats.
