Thumbs up Next Austin Meet

I had a great time cruising to Marbel Falls, even though Snakecharmer led us through a car wash and a gravel pit.

Anil has the ball for November and December.

My suggestion would be the old poker run to Wimberly would be great if the weather holds out. Free parking in the Lumber Yard (Hill Country Motor Sports).

Ed, the Lumberyard sounds great, but I've also heard of other places we could check out or incorporate (just one of) with Wimberly -- Enchanted Rock, Dripping Springs and a couple others that escape me right now.

I've not been to any of these, so I will try and check them out beforehand. However, if any any of you have been to these, your thoughts are appreciated. I also don't know where these are, so I'll investigate that as well.

Weather should be good still during the day for the November meet, so wherever we go, it should involve a cruise. December may not be so great so that would be more local.

So let's hear everyone's thoughts...(at least w.r.t. this subject ).

Also, I'm taking votes for the weekend -- Nov 10th or Nov 17th. Let me know if you're in, maybe or out for each of these dates. I'm thinking the 10th may be better as some may have plans for thanksgiving that may start that weekend.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Anil,

November 10th is the same weekend for the annual meet in Corpus with Paul Cass and his group - I for one am planning on going down there - it was great fun last year - Paul has a Ford car show sponsored by one of the Ford dealers with the Cobras as the featured attraction - maybe the 17th would be a better date for the next Austin cruise????

So far all prefs are for the 17th. Anyone else have prefs? Or let me ask it this way -- who cannot make it on the 17th?

Also, I'd like to have opinions on long cruise vs. short cruise. John -- how far is good for you?

Cheers,
-Neil.

Default 17th Is OK!

Neil,

I vote for the 17th. The weekend of the 10th is very busy for myself.

If ride shotgun with anybody.

Question Anyone there???

Folks -- just a reminder that this IS a democracy, and your vote is counted, and requested, and appreciated. If I don't hear from enough people, I'll have to make the decision and we'll all end up at the Yellow Rose!

So I investigated a bit more, and there seem to be other places that we can cruise to in addition to Wimberly (if we want more cruising, that is), but I haven't yet get any specifics on other places to go for lunch.

So I'll make this process a bit easier for everyone. The questions are...

(1) Location preference:
(a) Wimberly only and lunch there.
(b) Add another cruise segment, lunch at Wimberly.
(c) Add another cruise segment, lunch elsewhere.
(d) Not Wimberly -- just find another place.
(e) Hey, why is the Yellow Rose just a joke!?

(2) Lunch preference:
(a) Cruise before lunch.
(b) Cruise after lunch.
(c) Grab some McDonald's in the car and cruise with that.

(3) Date preference:
(a) Nov 17th only.
(b) Nov 10th only.
(c) Either date is fine.
(d) Can't make either.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Hey guys,

Unfortunately, I'll be out of town both weekends. The holiday season is upon us. At least the cold isn't here yet.

Have a great time!

Hey Charmer, being the trooper that you are, please let me know what time you're available so I can pick up the keys to the Cobra -- for the guys who don't have theirs running that weekend.

Gotta get permission from the warden first, but I'll probably be there after working out some sort of early parole deal.

Neil; I like your multiple choice questions. Let's get your votes in Austin members. We need another Hill Country cruise before the weather gets bad.

Folks I know its that time of year again (the holiday season), and you're probably starting to get busy, but this cruise will be awesome. Depending on responses posted by end of this week, I may make some executive decisions... so far, its leaning towards Wimberly-only, lunch there, and Sat 17th.

Scott, you failed your high-school multiple-choice exams, didn't you? Or do you have little pencil-marks bubbled-in on your computer screen?

Spoke with Tony "Cougar-and-truck-flames-take-priority-over-Cobra" Mendez, and he's in for the 17th.

Ed or anyone else who's been to Wimberly -- what are the lunch options in that area? Will need it to call and start getting reservations, etc.

BTW, the beast is alive, and what a beast it is! More gory details on it coming soon.

Post I speak no evil!

Neil,

Let's just say that until my situation clears and I'm SATISFIED with the outcome. I'm not allowed to discuss the matter.

Enough book material. Sharmer, John or Ren do you need a co pilot?
