Default Texas Dream Cruise - Saturday June 29th

This might be something to consider attending as a Cobra group on Saturday June 29th in Frisco, Texas. Funny as I live in Frisco and never even heard about this and stubbled across it on Facebook from post SCAT member put up.

I registered for this Texas Dream Cruise today as early bird special of $20.00 if you register by April 30th. I selected Shelby Group All Makes to park but asked to create a Texas Cobra Club Group for those of you that want to attend. This is in downtown Frisco on Saturday June 29th and sounds like it might be a cool event with cruising in the area and then a 12 mile cruise at the end of the event. Looks like they are encourging groups to do dinner in the area and cruise Preston in the evening so if you are busy during the day you might cruise over later. I live in Frisco so looking forward to it.........

Early Bird Registration is complete.

Texas Cobra Club is now in the "group pull down list."

Last day to register. They had 800+ cars registered yesterday. This is actually held at the FC Dallas stadium + a small cruise through downtown.

I'm taking the Mustang to display at the CVAR group. We're on a recruiting crusade. I think I'm the only Big Bore car, so there should be a few open wheelers and small bore.

Drop by if you have a chance. John Furlow should have his '58 Kurtis 500KK. Incredible car. Looks (and sounds) like a predecessor to a '64 Cobra.

Going to be hot as hell, and I doubt I will stay for the duration, but here are some details that Dream Cruise is sending out:

1. “Check in” is from 8a-11:30a @ FC Dallas Stadium:
a.Show up to the stadium / attendants will guide you to your specific lot.
b. The next attendant will guide you to your specific space requested*.
c. After parking, report to the North Ticket Box Office to “Check IN." At the Check In window, you WILL:
i. Receive your Window Tag – (no tag = will be towed)
ii. Receive the Program Guide for the day!
iii. Receive your Dash Plaque, for those that qualify.
iv. Specify if you want to compete in the hardcore Judging – open class 1st , 2nd , & 3rd place each.
- Originals
- Restoration
- Custom/Modified
- 12:00 Noon to 1:00pm Judging takes place: (Because of the logistics of the lot, mini cruising and event size,
ALL JUDGED VEHICLES MUST move to the Judging Lot at 12 noon, we will tell you where at the event.
You may return to your original lot after judging is over. We don’t want to miss anyone!
- Everyone is eligible for the “Other Awards”:

Co-Founder’s Choice (2),
Car Club Participation Award (1),
Non-Car Club Participation Award (1) – YOU DO NOT NEED TO MOVE YOUR VEHICLE FOR THESE AWARDS.

2. 12:30 to 5:00p Mini Cruising around the stadium parking approx. 1.6 miles:
a. Cruise any time you feel the urge to Show it Off now that you have Dusted it Off!
b. We encourage you to “cruise it” so everyone can see, hear, and watch your beautiful rides in action – as many laps and as often as you like!

3. 2:00pm – Is “REV-IT-UP” – 2pm everyone is encouraged to start their vehicles and rev their engines and let everyone in Frisco hear your engine racing and or Roaring! (music to my ears)

4. 4:00pm – Awards Ceremony!

5. 5:00pm – Texas Dream Cruise 2013 –Mega Cruise!
a. Cruising up and Down Preston Rd!!!
b. Long or short laps, your choice any distance between 121 and Eldorado -(utilizing other streets as well!)
