Arrow First Saturday meet for North Texas group.

Yes, it is hot out there but let's meet anyway. So here is your chance to pick a breakfast meeting spot before George picks Torchy's. Earlier the better because of the heat. GO!

My suggestion would be somewhere more towards the "middle" to include the Westsiders. Maybe Grapevine area? We traditionally have rotated East and West but we seem to have moved away from that which has cut out a core group.

I (the one westsider who regularly travels to the east) will not be attending this one as I highly doubt I will be done converting my car from manual steering to power steering by then.

To add... The 1st Saturday of October falls during the Goodguys event at TMS, I would suggest that the October event be held at the Goodguys event. With that being said it would make sense to hold the September event in the Big D area as long as George doesn't get to pick the place (Torchy's).

Yes I posted a week early again. Pardon me. Let's meet in the middle for the west side drivers. May I suggest reservations. Maybe a joint with a room or place less traveled. Personally...8 am would be nicer than 10 because of the heat.

With in the low 70tis in the morning I will attend Cars and Coffee for sure. I see no need for an breakfast meeting because the temperature is below 90F until noon.

Whoever says Torchy's again will be shot.

So how about Bone Daddy's in Grapevine at 11am - that's a 40min ride from Cars and Coffee in Plano.
Guess that makes the "westies" happy....

Has anyone suggested Torchy's yet? Lol

Bone Daddy's in Grapevine is good
Maybe Brittany and I can carpool with someone to save gas, since Bone Daddy's is more than 500 yards from my house?

In the event that you can't find anyone willing to let you carpool with them, you might want to PUT FUEL IN THE CAR BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!!!!!!

Kevin.....
Do you know how much it costs to fill up a 45 gallon gas tank?
I started carrying a 1 gallon gas can in the trunk.
I now have 2 of these gas cans from the 2 times that I ran out of gas going to these events! Lol

Sammy: Did you get the GT40 on the road yet? Anxious to see it.

It is supposed to leave Cape Town this week, Lar. Thanks for asking! I am waiting for notification now. It is running late ... winter weather briefly shut the port in July. They actually had the container sitting in the terminal. Then the factory took the opportunity to recall it so they could add a couple of new features.

I won't have it here before November. Olthoff Racing is going to put the power train in when it gets to the US in early Oct.

There is a build thread on GT40s.com:

Hey Guys:

As mentioned Bone Daddy's in Grapevine would be a good middle ground but Flip's has a great outdoor patio and has been very good about letting us mark off space. I could always go early and mark off space with my trusty soccer cones!

Let's do Flips at 10:30. Eat at 11. A new place wouldn't kill us. Everybody good with Flips?
