I have it!
Gary,
If you need help on the decision? I'm sure the guys on the SCOF forum could help. We never argue about SB vs BB......
And I have some ocean front property in Nebraska for sale too.
Good Luck!!

Well this is my 3rd Cobra and probably my 40 performance Ford and all but three have been small blocks. One Boss 429, one 428 SC Mustang and a 390 Mustang.
Going with 514 big block on this one!

From: ExxonMobil Regional Distribution

Subject: Projected gas shortages
Please be forewarned that on the weekend of Feb 22-24, 2002 we project a high volume of gasoline usage in the Austin area due to the confluence of several, possibly more than FIFTY (50), so-called "enthusiasts" driving Shelby Cobras, et al, some with engines larger than 500 cid, in a "recreational" manner. Please place your orders for fuel well in advance, and above the normal weekend volume.
Thank you.

Charmer,
It's Royal Blue with white stripes. Going with the 15s on this one and using 295/50/15 Goodyear Eagles on the rear. Ordered the TKO trans last week and working on purchasing a 514/600 HP big block. I'm doing the engine install and plan on doing some extra things prior to installing the engine. Don't know if I'll be done in time for Austin or not, but I will be there with or without the car.

EFI for that big block
Gary,
I recall that you are interested in EFI for the 514. I just spoke with TWM (check their site), and they will have their Weber EFI system available next month! This is the system with 58mm throttle bodies (biggest on the planet) and the fuel rail and injectors "hidden" under the massive throttle bodies due to the 10 degree cant in the manifold. A warning - they've been saying "next month" for 6 months now....one can only hope
Also thought you'd like to know that I installed the accusump pre-oiler with no problem. I'm hoping this will extend the life of this big beast. Also installed the pusher fans from Enzo but this is more for looks than function.
Good luck,
Stretch

Charmer,
Can't wait to see you car! It doesn't look like my car will be done for Austin as I'm still working on getting the engine, clutch, flywheel etc............................................... ...
I've been so busy at work that I haven't even looked at it since last weekend! Want to do it right and not rush also!
See you in Austin. Doug tells me he has talked to you about doing a parking lot tailgate Friday night if the weather is good. That should be fun!
