Who's going to Austin on Friday (2/22)?
Hey Dallas Guys,
Is it to early to plan a caravan from Dallas to Austin on Friday, i.e. time, place to meet, etc?
We made reservations at the Marriott-Town Suites for Friday and Saturday nights since we have a 28' trailer. We used the 800# the rate was confirmed @ $69, just be sure to tell them you are with the Texas Cobra Club, thanks Charmer!
P.S. If anybody has a friend that is interested in purchasing a Cobra, invite them to Austin, our 1995 LSC will be for sale. Gotta pay for the T-Bolt and the Mustang! I can provide more information about the Cobra upon request.
Thanks

Our impotent President can probably give us all the info.....I think we are going to try for 9am again?

Matt,
Thanks for the reply, I will continue to check this post for future information about the caravan.
I just found out that Donna has us catering an early (7 a.m.) breakfast for a local bank that Friday morning. So the 9 a.m. may be cutting it a little close for us.

I'm with Steve. The Highway 67 route is more scenic, no 18 wheelers and no Interstate Highway Construction, but it just takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Two years ago on H-67, I think it took over 6 hours and last year I drove about 80 and made it in a little over 3 on I-35. I will go with what the majority decides...just my .02.

I'm not suggesting anything. El Presidente just told me that we would use the same meeting place as last year, but take the more direct route. He asked me to post a map again. But if you all want to meet at Cracker Barrel in Desoto then fine. Just be forewarned: construction on I-35 through Desoto is a NIGHTMARE. Be prepared to leave early.

Children, Children
Our route will be discussed at our meeting on the 2nd of Feburary! Bobby I asked you talk to Morris an discuess the route that you told me about.
The plan is to meet at the same place again, except take a more direct route!!!!
We plan to try to avoid the construction on 35!
So lets save all the questions and responces for our February meeting!!
Thanks
The President

Go get um Mr Woodard!!
Hey, that seniority counts for something.
Btw: Are we meeting at Chammps again? If so do I need to set this up again. I will be happy to do so if needed. We had a great turnout last month.

Mr. Presidente, with the BIG "T" and little "M",
I read your post but failed to get the message. Must be old age or something! So, what route are we taking to AUS?
Steve, Mr. President asked me to coordinate the February meeting at Boston's, 635 & Mac Arthur. I plan to stop by there and visit with the Manager in the next few days. If that doesn't work out I'll let you know and we can shoot for Champs again. I'll let you know.
Chow,
Jim

Jim,
I called you before I read your post. It doesn't matter to me where the lunch is at for Feb.
I just want to post that everyone that is going to Austin needs to bring $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child to pre pay for the lunch that we have at Orion every year. I will be collecting the Money and the names of the people that pre pay and sending the money and the names to Stretch (Ren man or Greg what's his name) to help them pay for the lunch. This event has gotton so big it is creating a burden on the Austin crew to pay for everything and then collect at the event.
Lets get it together and get this done at this months lunch. The Houston crowd collected for, I think 17, I know Mr. Mosley will corret me if I am wrong, but lets all the Dallas crew get this done early.

newby hope to make it
Hello
I am a new cobra owner way out here east near Tyler i will try and make the Sat meeting but would love to try and get the Austin gathering. do you all drive your cobras. I am not sure of the weather to get my cobra caught in snow or heavy rain. i would try a shorter trip but 4+ hours of torture to my cobra doesnt make her feel loved. I will hope to see some of you and meet the ones i have talked with already.
