TCC financial status 2002
Good news folks,
After reimbursing all (hopefully) expenses from the event, we have $451 left for the club treasury!!
I sent the last checks out today, including the balance. As TCC treasurer, Scott Roberts will hold the funds until Dennis Mosley decides how to use them
Here is how the event finances broke out:
$1560 in pre-paid fees + $1087 day-of fees
$2195 in expenses
We made $700 more than we did last year and spent about the same for a lot more people!!
Dennis, it's your job to spend that money.....I know you can do it!!Hey, I've got it!! ....Charmer engine fund

Superb job of fiscal management
Stretch and all those invovled in planning nad arranging the event,
All I can say is superb job! I know personally got more out of the event than the money I paid, so it was one good deal. You guys pulled off some good values for our money, thanks a million!

SUGGESTION???
AGAIN THANKS FOR ALL THE WORK DONE IN AUSTIN!!!!
DENNIS, I'M ON THE SOAPBOX HERE SINCE THE SURPLUSS FUNDS WERE RAISED BY COBRA PEOPLE FOR COBRA PEOPLE, WOULD YOU PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING THE SURPLUS TO "TEAM JENNY" FUND FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS. AS YOU KNOW THE DVSFII GOAL THIS YEAR IS TO RAISE $100,000 AT THE SPRING FLING.
IF SO PLEASE CONTACT ED COMBS AKA DOUBLE VENOM AND DISCUSS IT WITH HIM. I PERSONALLY DON'T KNOW OF A BETTER PLACE TO SPEND IT BUT IT'S YA'LLS CALL.
JUST MY HUMBLE 2 CENTS.

I was the treasurer last year for TCC. During that entire year I had no money come in and no money go out, untile the Austin event.
While talking to everyone during the planning of the Austin event. There was some concern about "would we even, break even" If I remember correctly last year we actually lost money on the Austin outing.
Every person in the TCC club gets very excited about the annual Austin outing. I believe that outing should not be a financial burden on ANYONE who plans it. That being said I propose that we elect to keep the funds in treasury at home, and use them for the 2003 Austin gathering. After all it is pretty much the only time we get to visit with each other and that outing is what made the TCC grow like it has.

ONE SPARK PLUG FOR EVERY ONE!!!!!! you are on your own for the other 7.
No really, Scott and I will get with our executive advisors, Charmer and Tom (El Presidente 1&2) Who as past presidents, of course attained lifetime membership to the steering board.
By tapping into their great wisdom (boots getting dirty), I am sure we will do the right thing with the dough. I will make sure everyone knows how it was spent.
Happy Cruising,
Dennis "Cobraden" Mosley

Personally I am with Steve. We kept the money the first year and you never know when you will need. Keep it in the box and just wait till next year....you never know when we might need it.

I also agree with Steve and Matt. Save the money and use it for the 2003 Gathering. Great job Austin!! Hope our luck with the weather continues to hold up with our usual Feb. weekend.

Odds and Ends
I second the motion (so to speak) to retain the funds. Gregg "What's His Name" and I did some gopher'ing after everyone got to Joe Z's and I saw a few folks pull funds out of there pocket to cover things like extra beer, soft drinks and ice. So, it would be nice to hold onto these funds to cover unexpected expenses that tend to pop up at these events.
Besides, we might actually have to buy condiments for the sandwiches next year! (Sorry Gregg, couldn't resist. Beside I was the poor guy handing them out and getting dirty looks.)
Joe M.
PS: JoeZ, don't get too fond of those red Rubbermaid buckets of mine!

You know guys Ren Man ,brought some mighty fine home brew that he and his sweet wife paid for. If they are going to do it again next year I think we all should pay our own way and add to the kitty for that as well.
Everyone that tasted this , remember just how thirsty we all were the the Ren Man pulled up in the riding mower? I have never seen so many vultures at one location, heck I was one of them I will admitt it. It was good stuff too. Thank you David and Nell Osmar.
We should enjoy our Asutin gathering each year and should not be worried about the Austin crew paying our way. Let's keep it here and cover some expenses .
Drew, Buddy, we agreed on the same thing. Man I feel good.
