Anyone interested in a newsletter?
I ask Dennis and he suggested I post a poll, would a newsletter for the TCC be of any interest to anyone? Some of the uses:
- pix of members and their cars
- articles about events
- possibly raise funds through ads
- Industry news
What do you think?

Let's Keep it Simple
When we first started Texas Cobra Club, we decided to Keep It Simple, no officers, no dues, no news letters. Lets keep it that way. I think thats why so many of us enyoy the club so much.
But we are growing??

I third the motion. Let's take advantage of the internet sites to stay up on current club info. What I WOULD like to see for the club are more excuses to get people together - simple summer events like:
Cobra work days
New member initiations
BBQ's
drives, tours, poker runs
track days (like the one John put together)
strip days (drag)
maybe a club sponsored car show
Let's face it, any reason to get this great group of people together is worth it

vote no on newsletter
I agree with the above - with ClubCobra and texascobraclub.com - we have everything we need in the cyber world to stay in touch and communicate events, etc. I have been out of town for a week and plan to add a new page this weekend to the TCC web site with text and pics of Austin. I will pull some pics off the web from others posting in addition to the digital that I took. If anyone has some pics to contribute to the web site...e-mail them to me.

K.I.S.S
Like everyone above K.I.S.S.
Having been a newletter editor for a mustang club. It is a royal pain in the a$$.
I like charmers ideas. Getting everyone together is what the club is all about.

After hearing from Greg I thought it was a good idea to start the poll. I remember our decisions to keep it simple and that is still the way I look at it.
However, as the former El Presidente said, "we are growing". Given that, I really want to hear from the membership on this, using this poll.
I want to make sure the club continues to grow in the direction that the membership wants. Not just the way I think it should be. IT'S YOUR CLUB!
Thanks Greg for throwing out a new idea (keep them coming) and starting the poll. Let's take a look at the poll results at the end of next weekend. That should truly tell the tale.
Thanks to all that have voiced their opinions and/or voted in the poll.
Happy Cruising,
Dennis "Cobraden" Mosley

<y vote is "NO"!!!
My vote on this idea is NO!!!!!
This web site IS our newsletter, and the cost is absolutely FREE (unless you contribute to Turks post to help out Brent-as some of us have). I also feel that the ideas we used as the basis ot the Club we formed three years ago in Austin are as valid today as they were then.
The only burden on each member is what you make it here, and anyone can contribute as much, as little, or none if they wish, and it will impact immediately while the thoughts are fresh. Look at the wonderful pictures we have that started appearing less than 12 hours after we closed the event on Sunday, Feb 24th, and with the added benefit of being able to be viewed around the WORLD.......... well, a newsletter really pales in comparison.
Lets just get the people, and cars, together as much as possible, because that is what it is all about!

hey Pidler,
No apology needed. If we don't keep the new ideas out there we could get very stale. Keep them coming.
