I wonder if the Corvette guys were laughing when they got caught in the rain...I made it home with about 10 minutes to spare.

Matt, know what you mean. After I left I went by the BMW dealer in Richardson to show them my Cobra and talk abou the new M5 that's comming out. Well, when the thunder started in earnest I headed for the shop to put the toy to bed. Barely made it. The Vette guys do have a top on their cars which does make a slight difference. I own 2 Vettes and I gotta tell you if I take them to a car show where you guys are, I'd like to park with you..

it was great meeting the cobra members there.sure wish the weather had stayed away.
i know everyone understands the excitement of the first 24 hrs as a cobra owner .it is beyond everything i ever imaged about it.
i headed to the house after receiving the 1st place trophy and just made it into the garage when the rain unloaded.
a while later i checked my answering machine and there was a msg from the car show letting me know i had won 'best in show'
and they would get it to me.

WHAT A FIRST 24 HOURS !!

Congratulations Fred!!! Best in show is fantastic!

I had a great time at the show, it was great to see everyone there, and meet some new enthusiasts (fanatics) as well.

Thanks again Tom for bailing me out and giving me temporary shelter, otherwise I would have been bailing out the Cobra.

Is anyone going to the show Saturday in The Colony? Someone dropped a flyer in my front seat while we were at the show.
