Gary
I saw this posted somewhere esle on the board. Apparently this guy has been trying to sell this monster for quiet some time. Scan the boards, I think it is in All Cobra Talk (?) there is more talk about it there.
I would love to have a Cammer engine. But I would want to know more about it's long past history. I imagine some parts could get hard to find!

This guy emailed me and said he's got all the front end parts - timing cover, water pump, gears and original chain, etc. He wanted 20k for this motor. He says it's never seen salt water and has only been dyno'ed since the new rebuild. I've got his contact stuff if anyone is interested......

Does this mean it's a reverse rotation engine?

It's standard rotation. Here are some other quotes from his email. For more info, contact him (Ron) at: fpp@gte.net Ron owns Ford Power Parts an claims to get one of these in a year. His number is (562) 921-5300
"This engine came out of a boat originally. It was never in salt water. It has dyno time only since it was freshened up. The original total hours since everything was new....I'm not sure but probably not that many since the original owner didn't take the boat out that often. I have all of the stock front end parts for this engine including a new Diamond high quality timing chain, stock front cover and backing plate, new chain guides, all the gears, etc."

You know I would love to have a Cammer motor, but man that is a lot of money! Are those really worth that much? I don't need one now but I'll bet there hard to come by.

Yeah, I'd love to have one of these as well. A dream Maybe someday when I win the lotery.
I think in good shape and freshly rebuilt, 20k is a fair deal. You might be able to find one in similar condition for less but the wait could be very long....
Have a good Easter!

20K is a good price for a good motor but I don't think that is a real good motor. It seems to have had some damage if it has sleeves and concrete. Around here good cammers go for $15K maybe $18K. Nice motors. To bad people just look at them and invest in them and feel them but don't build them for real hard use anymore. Things get old and people are feared of breaking something that can't be fixed no more. I love spell checkers.

Takes too dang long to spell check. To tell you the truth I "AINT" that worried about it. Life is way too short to worry about the weee little things.
