Thanks James- did you use photoshop??
James,
Thanks for posring my pictures for me. Dang, I couldn't wait to get a digital camera, but I failed to adjust the resolution down to create a file size smaller than 250k.
Did you change the resolution &/or fild size in photoshop??
Lewt me know so I won't have to keep e-mailing you attached files so you can post them for me.
Thanks,
John R.

No problem!!
When you upload images on ClubPhoto.com, it automatically resizes the pictures. Always upload the largest picture possible so you can order photo prints. The better the resolution, the better the print quality.
Your pictures were great. I only adjusted the contrast to brighten them up a bit.

Look at that engine!! Whenever I see a pan like that, I wonder why ANY engine manufacturer would put the sump in the front! So that all the oil can slide back away from the pickup when you are on it hard??? . WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT???
I know, I know, . . . . Its so that when you slam on the brakes, you get plenty of oil to the pump
The manufacture can make the sump in the front or the rear equaly as easily. They have a 50/50 decision with no penalty in putting the sump in the rear, so why in the world would they put the sump in the front????
Anyway, this is nothing against this particular engine. It is just something that I don't get, and there are TONS of Ford, GM, and Mopar engines like that! Seeing that gold anodized pan just made me think of it again.
Ed
By the way, the engine and car look nice!

It doesn't matter where the sump is, if it has gates around the pickup to keep the oil in place. If you are accelerating or braking, the oil stays where it belongs. Canton makes a good pan. Just my 2 cents. Great lookin' rig Gary!

Well guys, first of all the engine comes with a rear sump pan/pickup but SPF and all the dealers recommend the road racing pan.
This is my 3rd Cobra and second SPF Cobra. First two were small block Fords (351s) 2nd had a Paxton Supercharger.
I decided on this engine as most of my driving will be on the street in a straight line, so I wanted something big!
