Wimberly or Marbel Falls Lunch
Anyone wanting to go to Wimberly or Marbel Falls for lunch tomorrow - Saturday 13th? I plan to do a morning cruise around 9:30 am, but I got to be back in Austin by 1:30 pm. Anyone wanting to hit the Hill Country with me, look for Bluebonnets, hit the shops, give me a call (288-0446).
The weather looks a bit wet for next weekend, and my FFR wants to get out of the garage and charge her battery.

Love too Ed, but duty calls.
Perhaps next week.

Trip Update
I did a quick trip to Wimberly, got to chat with Glen Garret at the Lumber Yard. Glen is now a dealer renting and selling SPFs. Got to take a quick ride in a 600 HP SPF, but had to bring it back to Glen. Antifreeze leak problem. Headed back to Austin to get Kathy.
Kathy and I took the town car to find Bluebonnets on hwy71. Bluebonnets are not doing as well as last year. So we drove to Llano to see the car show. No luck in finding the car show, so we had dinner in Marbel Falls and called it a day.
At least I got the old FFR out and charged her battery. Got windburned and sunburned as usual, and I got to drive two Cobras.

Hey Ed,
Glad you had a good time! The weather was perfect I bet you got YOUR battery charged as well
Just wanted to clarify that although Glen is a car dealer, he's not actually a SPF dealer (like Doug Reed). I think he buys, sells, and rents used cars, and a couple cobras. I'd imagine that he's not limiting his cobra business to SPF's but that may be all he has on hand at the moment. Does this sound like a good description??
Just wanted to clarify for the other folks that may not be familiar with Glen's business.
Thanks,
Charmer

Stretch; Doug Reed is a SPF distributor for the central region. I believe Glen orders SPFs from Doug. Did you get your engine back and installed yet?

No engine yet I'm hoping that they will finish putting it together today or tomorrow. If so, I should see it first of next week!!
Boy do I miss it. Last weekend, I pushed it out of the garage and just sat it in for a while. Made it WORSE!
Patience is a virtue
