Default New Cobra Gameplan

Well, I changed my gameplan on my CMC Cobra: Instead of bodywork and paint now, I am going to register it and drive it a while. That way, I can work out any bugs and make any changes before paint. I am sure I will want to change something and it is much easier to do the work when you don't have to worry about scratching the paintjob! So, I went ahead and installed the seats and doors and went for a ride today! Had to take everyone in the family for a ride! (Short rides, as I have no liscense or registration on the car yet, but luckily I live in a rural area!) Everyone still using Titles Unlimited? Any tips on the process? Later, David Shelton.

Default Hey David in Kountze

Glad to see you have it running. What colors are you deciding between?
You might have mentioned some specs about your car in previous posts, but i am curious what rear end ratio you are using. I am also doing a longer-than-it-oughta-take build since I keep changing my mind on things during the build. I am using a C6 auto as well, and just recently went to a 3.27 rear instead of the 3.08s I had. This is because I am going with taller tire/wheel combo than i planned originally, so the final ratio will be close.

All this changing eats up time and money, and a lot of it only makes subtle differences. Is it just me?

John

There is a thread in the forum, it is about 5 or 6 down titled "Title Questions".

Check it out.

Congrats on the maiden voyage.

I am going to paint it Black with Med. Blue S/C stripes and Buckskin Upholstery. My rearend ratio is 3.50 but I also have a 3.70 if I need a change. I will probably end up changing a lot, as these projects are never finished are they? I guess I will start my upholstery as I have the lawn furniture cushions in the car now. (Function before Beauty- believe it or not, the lawn furniture cushions are very comfortable!) I also got my first "Snakebite" from the sidepipes today- short pants a no-no. Later, David Shelton.
