Question Hou/Austin Who's in for next week?

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to check and see who is still in for the Houston Austin Fayettville lunch meet next week on the 18th.

Looks like I have 8 cars from Houston headed over (Me, Scott & Brandy, Randy, Chad, Jim W, Dwight M, Bill & Tom) maybe a couple more.

Who is in from Austin?

Who else is in from Houston?

Happy Cruising,

Dennis

Kathy and I are in. Were leaving the FFR at home and taking our towncar because my back can't take a four hour round trip.

As for the rest of the Austin members, I haven't a clue. Speak up Austin, Dennis needs a head count.

Dennis, where are we meeting in Fayetteville? We have never been there. Also, what time are we meeting?

As of this point, looks like I'm out. Yes, as Senor Mendez mentioned, I hurt my toe in the past week. As embarrassing as this sounds, I stubbed the toe badly enough to break the bone.

For now I've grounded myself since as they say, the third time's a charm.

Wheel chair sounds good, but it must be Ford powered. Let me know if you find one, and I'll go refill the nitrous bottle.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Default Back Seat Available

Neil, What the heck are you doing? First you crush your finger and now your toe. You need a break! If you want, our back seat in our towncar is available. Let me know.

Tony, Your welcome to ride with us unless you catch a Cobra ride with someone.

I am going to try to come, either with Naja or with the family sedan (and Robyn, too).

guys, I'm afraid I can't make this meet- my 81yr old dad is scheduled for surgery so I'll be in San Antonio (or Leakey if he's released by the weekend). BTW, Tony, the SPF is an awesome ride- the thing corners like it's on rails, and with the 5speed it's actually fairly quiet at cruising speed-for a big block, that is....I'd stop by and pick you up but....oh well....

Tony,

Can't wait...As I mentioned in another thread I had a fire too. I'm awaiting on my Earl's header and valve cover gaskets. Forgot to mention that in the above post. I'm also wrapping the headers and have to make a sending unit gasket as my trunk gets a bit wet with fuel....not a good thing when the battery is back there.

Unhappy

This is looking more like a just a Houston Cruise to Fayettvile....Will anyone from Austin be attending with your car? Houston is going to roll either way but it would be nice to see some Austin cars since this is a combo meet.

There seemed to be more intrest on the Austin side than the Houston side when this came up last month, what happened?

Ed, not sure what streak I'm on, or how long it will last, and I've wasted most of the past week, so it'll probably be better if I keep my butt at home this weekend and try to catch up with things.

Renman: fire? Oooohhh... I love fire! How come you don't tell us about these events in advance? BTW, I have a couple new rolls of header wrap that I keep meaning to put up on Ebay -- if you need some let me know.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Question

Do you guys think we should postpone the meet to another date to give some people a little time to tinker with their cars and paperwork.....and of course heal self inflicted wounds ?

Let me know. If we do postpone the Fayettville trip maybe the Houston guys that want to take a little spin can take a shorter backroad cruise to Hempstead or something.

hey dennis
hows the houston aggie doing? things are moving along here and boy will i be glad when school is out. maybe i can finish all my projects. only need to paint the body on the t and put it togethor and i'm done. should finish by early june. the reason for the letter is that if you guys don't work out this trip-or even if you do i guess-is that there is a cool gathering in san antonio on the weekend of june 15-16th. i don't have the entry form with me here at school but they are having a car show on saturday and then an old car race, pre 50's, from san antonio to california with the start on sunday. there is supposed to be things to do and it would be cool to see all kinds of vintage cars. i plan to be there. if anyone is interested i can get more info.

Dennis, I've sure got plenty of li'l projects around the house, etc. to keep me busy if we don't go. I think it would be kinda cool if some or lots of the Austin crowd could make it too, maybe we should...maybe postpone for a month? Let us know!

Wink You're call!

Dennis; Due to the lack of response, Tom's wedding, repairs, injuries, etc - it's up to you. Also rain is in the forcast for this weekend. Maybe it would be prudent to postpone and see what happens in the upcomming months. (MHO)
