No Fun After The Tunnel
Well I guess I should of known better but after a quick little stab of the accelerator, in the Tunnel, that sounded cool and Monica woke up fast, I lost fuel pressure totally. Coming home was fun filling up that big dominator and running as far as it would go until it ran out, fill up and go again. Clearly the return fuel line and restrictor needs to be sorted out.
Darn, the first time Monica decided to come out and I go through this! Hard start under hot conditions is better than this. Oh well something to work on this weekend..........
Sure was fun seeing 11 Cobras on a Tuesday night!!!!!!!

The Tunnel was fun!!
Sorry to hear about your problems, wish I could help, but don't have a clue!!
Marla really enjoyed The Tunnel !
I'd like to either be standing inside the tunnel when we all came thru or standing at the end!!
Good Idea James!!
It was Good to see Mr. Woodard again, and also James and Jeannie, Mr Fletcher, just great to get toughter with the Gang!!
You suprise me Mr. Baldwin, every now and then you have a good Idea!!

Gary,
I have an idea... a good one, at that..
We talked about drilling a .030" hole in the restrictor on your fuel return to restrict the fuel flow. I figured out how you could do it.
Take Tom's brain and lay it inside the restrictor to measure the opening. If it falls through the hole, then make if .005" smaller. Repeat until the desired opening is reached.
The only problem is that you may need a laser by the time you're finished to get to make a small enough hole. :P
If that doesn't work, and the hole is still to large, you could also resort to other parts of his anatomy.... but I won't go there...

This is what happened to my car last year (if I'm not diagnosing this incorrectly). After sitting for a few minutes I could start again, then the car would stall out. Looking at the fuel pressure guage it looked as if no fuel was pumping. Bottom line was the gas tank did not have a proper vent to the outside to avoid cavitation. It was only vented to the filler neck. Not good enough with a rubber seal on the LeMans caps. If this is what you are running up against, I can tell you how I fixed mine for $5.
Good Luck...

James, if you need a laser let me know as we just happen to have one laying around!!!
We had an interesting after tunnel experience as well, Headlights went out after second pass thru. Had to go to Tom and Marla's and trouble shoot, turned out to be the high beam relay. Tom was kind enough to give me the one out of his car so we could get home. Sorry we kept you guys up so late. The only problem was my lights were shining Rhubarb all the way home!!! Better than no lights at all. Enjoyed seeing every one.

Don't you just love these cars!
I think I found my problem which is two fold! Restrictor to large and air vent being blocked by return hose fuel.

Hey Greg....did your high beams work when the regular lights went out?

Don't go there Jim...I remember a winter meeting with all the high dollar cars and someone (probably a black lone star) had to drive his grocery getter to the meeting because his cobra wouldn't fire

Wish I could have made this get together. But, I was replacing the clutch slave cylinder that left me stranded Sunday night at Preston and 121 ( I don't think I could have picked a better place for that to happen ). Maybe next time.

ahhh, YA BUNCH OF WOOSIES!!
Geez,
Here you all go getting your feathers ruffled when at least you GOT TO THE TUNNEL!!
You guys keep it up, and I am going to make you go with me next time to the hot, humid, sweaty & STINKY gym where you DON'T get to hear the fabulous sound of a Cobra at full boil and smell that wonderful high octane 110 race gas!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boy, if you think 15 year old girls don't get RIPE in two hours in a hot, humid, sweaty & STINKY gym, well I can show you a thing or two.
Oh, wait a minute, some of you might like it, oh, yeah, nevermind!!
John R.
Dang, I am SORRY I missed it!!!!
