San Antonio Chapter Inaugural event - Oct 12th
Okay, I guess it's time to get this S.A. thing started. Unless I hear lots of complaints, we are scheduling this event for October 12th. I know the notice is somewhat short, and based on the response I get, it's negotiable. This will probably be somewhat informal like the other local monthly meetings.
I can line up a restaurant for lunch on Saturday or for Saturday evening if necessary. I am open for suggestions. I need to see who is interested for coming down for the day only and who wants to stay the night.
We could probably organize a small car show...I have some contacts that could probably round up some other Ford products. For those that want to come down Friday night, there is a car show here every Firday night at Harpers grille and I am sure we would be a hit. I can probably reserve some front row spaces.
Like I said, I know it's a little last minute, but if I don't do it soon, it probably won't happen until spring.
Give me some feedback guys.

Ryan, Way to go- Good Choice!!
Ryan,
It's good to see that the San Antonio branch has taken the important first step!
This is exactly the way the club started over three years ago, and look where we are now!
Try and gather the local enthusiasts and form your core group that you can depend on, and you guys GO FOR IT!!
Best of luck on the start from the Dallas crowd!

I'll put it on my list! I'll see if I can get some of the Houston cars to come with me!

Ryan, I may be out of town all the week the week of 10/7 on business, but I will try to make the date otherwise. Thanks for taking the lead on setting something up, and keep us posted--

I'm not a Cobra owner yet, but I'd be happy to help out with any San Antonio issues if I can. (Think I could drive my Lotus Esprit to the meet? I think it has a Ford engine.) Steve Y.- San Antonio

Come on down Steve...I attended TCC events for 2 years before I took the plunge. Just remember there's no turning back once you get bitten...then again there's always the GT-40 lurking around the corner....build me, build me!

Anyone have ideas of what they want to do...good places to eat, hangout, etc... also who is bringing a car. Most everyone that I know of in San Antonio and the immediate area is still in the build stage (including me). This should not slow us down any because there's still plenty to talk about and if we don't do it now, this will get pushed back indefinitely. Hope to hear from some of you...

I hope to be runnng by then. My goal is the 15th, and I think with Craig's and anyone else's help in the SA area, I can have it going by then for sure.
Anyone know how to get a motor running and tuned? It's a 302 from a 1992 Mustang, converted from EFI to Carb.

I'm always up for some cruising...the races sound good too. BTW...I have one bedroom available for anyone from out of town that needs a place to stay. Brady may have another at his house but I will have to ask him about it.

How about Rudy's in Leon Springs? Great Food, and if cars are coming, we can have them block off a couple spots in the front.
just a thought...

Hi Blake, I was thinking Rudy's would be a good place myself either that or the Chester's Burgers on I-10 or something similar with semi-outdoor eating and good parking...

Ryan,
wanna help get the 302 running in my car? All I need to do is put on the pulleys, alternator, install an electric fuel pump, and get the transmission/clutch installed.

If we are moved into our new house, I'll have a bedroom available as well, if anyone needs it. The new place has a 4 car garage, so plenty of room to park your car as well.
maybe we can head over and see 1 or 2 builds in progress.
