Houston Sept. Cruise Proposal
We had a real fine meeting today at Joe's Crab Shack in Humble. Should be some good pictures posted soon. I've got the old fashioned stuff that has to be developed first, so I'll have to see about posting some pics later.
Several seemed interested in a cruise along the Galveston Seawall later this month. The weather should be warm enough so that a lot of people will still be at the beaches, but some of the edge of the heat should be taken off in a couple of weeks.
I propose that we do it on Saturday, Sep. 28, with a "rain date" for Saturday, Oct. 5. Leave Gulf Greyhound Park (in LaMarque) at 10 (??), go down to the State Park, then back to the East Beach area, then back to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch.
What do y'all think?
Mention was also made about a cruise to the Coldspring area and take some of the 'twisties' around there. How about mid/late Oct. for that?
After some feedback we can start a new thread for some final plans for a September cruise.
Regards,
Frank Newman
