Question Austin SPF Accident?

Jeff Richard; Last night I was told that your SPF was in an accident. Are you okay? I haven't heard from you in weeks. Do you need any help or assistance? Call me at 288-0446.

yes I was in an accident with my beloved SPF. I'm fine, thanks for the concern. The car is okay and being repaired by Doug Reed (what a great guy) in New Orleans. I'll probably be at the car show next week, and we'll talk then...

I hate talking about this, but I appreciate all the concern, so here goes:

Back in mid-July the Austin area was experiencing weeks of torrential rains. One day there was a break in the rain, the weatherman indicated for a day or so (he was wrong). I had cabin fever/Cobra withdrawals. so I took the car out to the hill country. I got caught after dark in a huge rainstorm, and in my hurry to get home got a little careless and missed a turn. I'm fine. My ego took a beating, but I'm okay.
The car is okay, too. I hope to have it back in a month or so...

Thanks again for the concern.

Jeff

Glad to hear you were not hurt.

Where was most of the damage?

Did the same thing on my bike a few weeks ago. Couldn't stand not getting out for a "spin" in a few days. I got to go for a spin alright, right into a ditch.
