Arrow San Antonio - Oct12 meeting

Looks like we will probably be doing lunch at Rudy's on I-10 just west of San Antonio. I am thinking 1:00 would be nice. Afterwards, we can take a look at a couple of the builds in the area or just hang out at someones house (mine is available). I was thinking Chesters would be a nice dinner outing and following that several of us plan to head out to the races for Saturday evening so anyone that wants to attend can follow along. Anyone worried about parking can park at my house...the driveway is in the rear and it's gated. Try to respond if you think you are coming. There's plenty to do in S.A. so if you have ideas just speak up!

See ya,
Ryan

lunch sounds good to me.

Heck if it's at 1 I may even go the othe Houston Meeting first and then head over....that may be pushing it a bit though.

See you at Rudy's

Default Directions etc...

If anyone needs directions to my house, let me know. Anyone that's interested can meet there first or head straight to Rudy's.

I hope you can make it MM, and your nephew is in our prayers.

Directions to Rudy's are as follows...
(coming from East on I-10) take Leon Springs/Boerne Stage Rd. exit which is about 4 miles outside loop 1604...Rudy's will be on your right .
(coming from the West on I-10) take Leon Springs/Boerne Stage Rd exit..Take a left under I-10 and you will see Rudy's on your right.

Now that my car is running I am sure I can find something for us to work on. Anyone good at tuning a Holley double pumper...?

I just bought a 600cfm double pumper as well. Maybe we can get a "group tuning' effort. I hope to have all of my transmission stuff(clutch, etc) in by wednesday. Thursday night/friday night burning the midnight oil to try to get it running. Heck, might just through it on a trailer

I know craig(bergheim) is going to come in for the meeting, as he is going to be out somewhere close in his RV that weekend. His build is coming along nicely. His place is great right now, because there are two cobras there (mine and his). One is a frame build up, and one is done(expcept for the motor).

I think Bill Kyler will be there at the meeting as well. He is scrounging around for a turnkey cobra to buy and has spent many a late over @ craigs trying to help me get it running!

off to Alamo Performance this saturday to pick up my Pulley's, and ignition.

Anyone else....

Right now it looks like anywhere from 10-15 people, a few completed Cobras, and even more not so complete. Hopefully the weather is as good as they say it will be. If I weren't such a good citizen I would throw my body on and take mine out, but that could get get expensive...

How far is your Cobra meet from Boerne? Kathy and I are planning to go to Boerne tomorrow for their big car show. If the timing is right, we can have lunch with the SA Cobras and then go to Boerne.

Ed,

it's about 8 miles. Rudy's is in Leon Springs. From Boerne, head towards san antonio, and exit leon springs. It's across from the Leon Springs Dancehall, cannot miss it.

Default Boerne Car Show

The Boerne Car Show started today and goes thru Sunday. One of the biggest car shows in the area. They shut down the entire town of Boerne, and line up all the hot rods up and down the main drag and into the central town square. Last several years they average 500 to 600 hot rods. Nothing above 1940 are allowed (Cobras included).

Looks like Kathy and I will meet the SA Cobras for lunch at Rudy's at 1:00PM.

Default S.A. news media sucks

Sounds like fun to me...the media in this town is completely lacking....they talk/write about the most ridiculous crap and then completely ignore important issues such as this....worthless!

Wink

Okay, I'll do my best...

If heading East on I-10 take the 410 east exit.
Stay on 410 until just past the airport and take the Broadway exit.
At broadway, turn right (South).
Go down several miles and you will hit Austin Hwy , where you will turn left. (Austin hwy is not far past the water tower which will be on your left)
Go another couple of miles and you will see Harpers on your right with quite a few cars. It's in a shopping center and it's hard to miss...if you see the Bun n' Barrell it's just past that.

My brother and I are heading over there too. Give me a call if you want 210-240-6519 paul Cass said he may come in from Corpus tonight as well.

Thumbs up Great Day!

Well we all had a good time in Leon Springs. Kathy and I represented the Austin bunch, Paul Cass represented the Corpus bunch, and Dennis Mosley represented the Huston bunch. The SA bunch got three FFRs and one B&B inprocess.

We headed back to Boerne to finish the day looking at some 400+ hot rods and some shopping. Finished the day at Wimberly for supper at the Cypress Creek Cafe.
