Damn, I live farther than anyone. I will have to leave Wensday. I do not have to leave this early to get to AUSTIN. Gary, Mesquito is closer than Austin isn't it?

Don,

I appreciate the offer but I don't think I could afford to split the gas on that monster for the trip...sheeze 200-300 is what I figure half will be just for one way

Just off the phone with the FAA, Coast Guard, Joint Chief of Staff, Air National Guard, Texas State police, Mesquite Police, and the North Texas Toll Way authority. They have collectively notified every locality in Texas, filed all appropriate documentation, and provided the necessary permits, for me to leave Lewisville in time to make the event. Looking forward to meeting ya'll!!!

Unhappy My Cobra will be at Texas Motor Speedway with the Boy Scouts

Sorry, I can't make this meeting. Being Scoutmaster, I have to be with my Troop at the gigantic Boy Scout Council-wide Camporee at Texas Motor Speedway. I had hoped that the Cobra Club could come out in force on Saturday to make a good showing for the thousands of Scouts and their parents. (See http://www.longhorncouncil.org/event...e_programs.htm for the listing of events)

Too many events on the same day. I tried to get the date out early so that the Cobra Club could participate and not schedule another Club event on top of the Boy Scout Camporee.

I'll try to make next meeting and maybe you'll come visit the Boy Scouts when they do this again FOUR YEARS from now...
