The outside stripes on the Contemporary cars were 1/4 in. out and 1/4 in. wide. Most people seem to just do what they think looks good to them.

MM, see the FAQ over on the FFCobra forum, I think they have paint info (and stripe info).

Do it as it looks good to you. As far as I know, the wide stipes are all that came on originals so anything you add would be a "custom" touch. 1/4" wide x 1/4" away would be a balanced and nice looking addition.

Mine are 1/4" stripes inside and outside of the main stripe separated by a 1/4" space.

Tony, if you would usa a roller, you could free-hand the stripes! No masking tape and no overspray! I used a mop on mine, so I had to mask lines.

Hello Tony,
Go to this link in the ERA WEB site and there is a complete diagram for the stipes from the lower front to the lower rear.
http://www.erareplicas.com/427man/stripes/index.htm
Have fun...I used these dimensions on my car and added the little stripe outside of the main ones. If you follow this the stripes will look the same width for their entire length...eliminates the doppler vision effect.

Let me know when you want to get started on mine, the body work is 95% complete. It just needs a final sanding/spoting and then shoot!
